What happens when a marriage of convenience isn't so convenient?
Lieutenant Colonel Benedict Draven has retired from the army and spends most of his days either consulting for the Foreign Office or whiling away the hours at his club with his former comrades-in-arms. Felt super bored
Not really for me. I had to speed up to 3,5x in order to finish and the only reason I didn’t dnf was because of a reading challenge. FMC is insufferable, the book is divided in parts, and all are boring as. There was 1 spicy scene that was half decent but the rest was just 🥱😴😴
The Shakespeare quotes ar the beginning of each chapter were a nice touch and the narration was good enough even if the Portuguese fmc didn’t sound Portuguese at all.
Free on plus catalogue audible. But not worth it.
