Summary

If you're a warrior seeking glorious feats, we need you! The walls of the Maragar Citadel are always in need of heroes!

Or are you a wizard in search of forgotten lore? One visit to our Ancient Library will reveal you many a great mystery!

Or are you an online player craving excitement? Then you'd better hurry! The Maragar Citadel is rife with adventure-choose one to your liking!

Performing deeds of online valor is the last thing on Oleg's mind, though. Neither does he care about any ancient lore. He's never trusted adventure, anyway. Mirror World is no place for the likes of him. Still, he's here to stay - at the demand of Reflex Bank, which has granted him a loan for his daughter's hospital treatment. Which is the only reason he's joined the ranks of the defenders of the Maragar Citadel.

Second in series, and doesn't disapoint

The continuing tale of Oleg is good and the story has developed in a different way from the first book so the developing story arc is great. Good character and good world description. Read the first book as doesn't go well out of order, but do read them both.

Story could be ...

The story had lots of potential and it was fun to follow, but the pace and unneeded material slowed it up.

I had to speed it up just to keep from getting bored.

Plus I am confused by Oleg. At times he is an idiot with no common sense and other times he is bright. At one moment he is scared of everything (even though he cannot take damage) and next he is brave. He has money issues, and wants to and needs to save every penny, but then he throws cash around like it is nothing. The inconsistency was annoying.

Great series!

I liked the second book much more than the first so stick it out with the series even if you thought the first book was only ok, it does get much better. Where the first book goes between real life and the game, I really enjoyed this one focusing almost entirely on Mirror World. I am very much looking forward to book 3 and am happy I started this series!

Poor writing

I don't know if it is a translation problem that caused it, but repeatedly hearing "now what do we have here," or "let's take a look" was distracting. The story moves slow.

A better story than the first book.

This book added a large amount of story to mirror world. I really enjoyed it, though I did miss some aspects from the frist book that drew me in. I recommend this book series.

story gets better, narattor still anoyingly slow

Any additional comments?

For a second book in a series its good, the story gets better, main character gets more debt. only thing that annoys me is that the narrator is reading a bit slow.

chopped up

My only problem is that it feels like one book split up into several. I found it very enjoyable though.

Nevermind... nevermind... nevermind...

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

sure, it was a decent and entertaining book

Any additional comments?

The main character has started to get incredibly repetitive. His catchphrase.. Never mind. He says it about 1-5 times per chapter and now i cringe every time i hear it. Either the writer has started getting lazy after the first book or else I just started noticing his repetitive style the more of his writing I listen to. either way I hope the third book is better but so far its not. Still a good book. still gonna finish the series but it could have been great if the writing wasn't so blah.

good

Well it was a well done book. The one thing that bugged me is that I wish I would speed up the narration just a bit. The narration is to slow, and it bugged me.
