My 8 yo loved this. Working our way through the series!

Liked this one as much as the island of adventure. Loves the characters especially Kiki the parrot! And Bill of course. Kiki's chatter always makes us laugh, "Fusty musty dusty! Pop goes the queen. God save the weasel!" :-). A treat to listen to these books again that I also enjoyed as a child.

An old classic, still loved today.

This is obviously an old book now but it is a classic and both my 11 year old and 5 year old loved the book so much they have already listened to it twice and I don’t think anyone can leave a better review for a children’s book then that.
Kiki the parrot is as always the true star of the Adventure books and my 5 year old loves copying his phrases.
As an adult it is also still engaging and easy to listen to.

Great story, great narration

The combination of Enid Blyton’s storytelling and Thomas Judd’s narration (he is excellent - brings huge personality to each character) are a perfect match. Whole family are really enjoying working our way through the adventure series (already finished all the Five Find-outers!).

The Castle of Adventure is a fun adventure story which is entertaining for children and will have adults wishing they were young again!

Nostalgic fun

I loved this series as a child. This one seemed to stick in my mind most of all. The castle and grounds and the eagles are lovingly described by Enid, its a good setting for an adventure story. I enjoyed the chapters with Jack left on his up there. Some nice spooky moments.. who is pumping water in the night! The story then builds pace nicely and rattles along with plenty of entertaining moments.
The narrator at times was excellent, though some of the childrens voices a bit cringey at times
Overall, I enjoyed this book 👍
