Summary

A seasoned journalist chases down the biggest story in history.

The Project: Determine if there's credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God. The Reporter: Lee Strobel, educated at Yale Law School, award-winning former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune - with a background of atheism. The Experts: A dozen scholars, with doctorates from Cambridge, Princeton, Brandeis, and other top-flight institutions, who are recognized authorities on Jesus. The Story: Retracing his own spiritual journey, Strobel cross-examines the experts with tough, point-blank questions:

  • How reliable is the New Testament?
  • Does evidence exist for Jesus outside the Bible?
  • Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual historical event?

This audio adaptation of Lee Strobel's remarkable Gold Medallion Award-winning book packs the energy of a captivating, fast-paced novel. But it's not fiction. It's a riveting quest for the truth about history's most compelling figure. What will your verdict be in The Case for Christ?

A gentle breeze could sway Strobel

I certainly wouldn't want Mr. Lee Strobel investigating my murder. It's like he set out to convince himself...and succeeded.
Man proceeds to interviews the indoctrinated and uses scripture to make his case. Whilst interviewing "experts" they never provide data that "I" can go look, short of the bible.
His sources are hardly objective. Lee for that matter is hardly objective. And of course we end it all with the obligatory "You have to believe to see it"
Mostly just feel bad for his then 5 year old daughter. Who was taught that the power to stop boozing, stabbing his colleagues in the back, and to start loving his family, comes from a magical sky daddy and now within one's self.

Only a partial book

Even though this states it is "unabridged", the author only reads a few chapters...not the entire book!!! If you want to hear the entire book, choose the other one!

BEWARE

I bought this audiobook because I had to read this book for school but BEWARE IT IS NOT THE ACTUAL FULL BOOK!! this is a very limited heavily condensed version that skips 3 out of 4 pages and on the pages that are read does not even read them all!

Case for Christ

I am surprised it is full price for an abridged version... It is a good book otherwise.

The real jesus was inside us all along

A poor attempt at apologetics that ends with “if you feel like christ is true, that means It’s true for you!”

Abridged

The audio book made a convincing argument however it is an abridged version of the actual book. Much powerful analysis was omitted. In the end the audio version was sufficient to win the case for Christ!

Not the entire book

I won’t knock the book with a low rating but I was disappointed to find, at the end, that this version contains only selected chapters from the book, not all the chapters.

Not the full book

Full price for an abridgment. Do not buy. Buy the full book, it’s worth it.
