Summary
An Amazon Charts bestseller.
Near an isolated mansion lies a beautiful garden.
In this garden grow luscious flowers, shady trees...and a collection of precious “butterflies” - young women who have been kidnapped and intricately tattooed to resemble their namesakes. Overseeing it all is the Gardener, a brutal, twisted man obsessed with capturing and preserving his lovely specimens.
When the garden is discovered, a survivor is brought in for questioning. FBI agents Victor Hanoverian and Brandon Eddison are tasked with piecing together one of the most stomach-churning cases of their careers. But the girl, known only as Maya, proves to be a puzzle herself.
As her story twists and turns, slowly shedding light on life in the Butterfly Garden, Maya reveals old grudges, new saviors, and horrific tales of a man who’d go to any length to hold beauty captive. But the more she shares, the more the agents have to wonder what she’s still hiding...

Gripping but disturbing
If you could sum up The Butterfly Garden in three words, what would they be?
Strong Female Lead
Who was your favorite character and why?
Bliss, she has attitude
What about Lauren Ezzo and Mel Foster ’s performance did you like?
Despite the American accent (which I usually can't stand) the narrators show the emotion and seriousness of the book
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It gave me nightmares, some scenes are very disturbing. However, there are also strong senses of companionship, trust and friendship.
Any additional comments?
Well worth a listen, as long as you aren't too disturbed by distressing scenes including children.

Wow. What a roller coaster ride
Disturbing.
Dark.
Had me on the edge of my seat.
Normally I finish a book and start another. This book still has me thinking about it.
Dot Hutchison has a dark mind which gives evil life, then on “a flip of the coin” almost, there is strength, courage, tenacity to balance it off. And then there is the twist....... what a twist. This is definitely a read again...... but not for a while....... first the feeling of horror needs to subside.
