Summary
Randall Haight has a secret: when he was a teenager, he and his friend killed a 14-year-old girl. Randall did his time and built a new life in the small Maine town of Pastor's Bay, but somebody has discovered the truth about Randall. He is being tormented by anonymous messages, haunting reminders of his past crime, and he wants private detective Charlie Parker to make it stop.
But another 14-year-old girl has gone missing, this time from Pastor's Bay, and the missing girl's family has its own secrets to protect. Sorry
Just lost this book so easily knew the outcome by chapter 3 so slow , have loved The Charlie Parker mysterious up until this one got bored

Yet another triumph
John Connolly never fails to deliver when it comes to the Charlie Parker series. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good thriller with the odd bit of relief in the forms of Louie and Angel.

Paranormal Parker
For a long-running series, this was actually a fresh injection to the waning interest I felt for it. Charlie is asked to accept a client without knowing his background as the lawyer knows there will be a big conflict of interest. A young girl has gone missing, so Charlie must forge ahead despite troubling reminders of his past.

Classic Connolly
Connolly spins a good tale and have to hand it to the narrator for the performance. Difference voices for each character brings them alive.
It’s not his best. But still a good story.

Good story in popular series
The character is well established now and this story is good. It has less “supernatural” elements although still some. Three threads come together well at climax of story.
The reader is fine to listen to and does accents for different characters. His voicing of female characters is odd sounding and annoying which is why I have taken off a star.

Another great story from John Connolly
Second audible Charlie Parker I've listened to. Loved the colourful characters, the superb unfolding story and great twist at the end! (With a supernatural element mixed in) Love the voice of Jeff Harding who certainly brings each character and the story to life! Already purchased the next in the series, highly recommend.

Enjoyed tremendously
I always enjoy the Charlie Parker books so the audio book was no different,
Jeff Harding brings Parker to life, the plot not difficult to work out that's way I only gave three stars, looking forward to the next
