Summary

When Samantha Schuster and Steven Mueller were courting, she loved the fact that they worked at the same restaurant because it meant they'd get to see each other more often. But ever since Steven broke her heart, having to run into him every day at work is like pouring salt into her wound. She knows she has to make a change as soon as possible.

That's when she stumbles on a job listing at the local Amish newspaper, "The Buggy News". Immediately she thinks this could be her chance to start over. What she doesn't realize until after she gets the job is that the newspaper will test her strength and heart like never before. Does she have the faith to persevere and succeed, or has she just made the biggest mistake of her life?

Sweet story

Sweet story with cute storyline. Light, easy listen with good performer narrating. Not typical Amish romance. I’d call it Christian rather than Amish, but it does have a few Amish tidbits.

Enjoyable first read

The Buggy News (Amish Love of a Lifetime #2), my first read from Christian author Sadie Palmer. If there's a problem with this book that it's so short. You want stories/books longer so you can enjoy them for a longer time. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Julie Lancelot’s talented narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I'll definitely be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

More Amish romance

This book was about wants to get married and the adventures she becomes involved in.

The narration was good.

This book was provided free of charge with the expectation of a review.

Very enjoyable clean romance

I really enjoyed this audiobook. It follows a young woman Samantha searching for a job and searching for love. Will she find them? Will she trust God even when things seem bleak? I have only read/listened to this book. Now I want to read the rest in the series. I love books that are in series because I get to revisit my favorite characters in the other books. It wasn't a cliffhanger but it left you wanting to hear more of the character's lives.

Seemed like author lacked Amish knowledge

The book seemed very amateur. The story line certainly isn’t what you would expect of an Amish book and just isn’t the caliber of some of the major authors of Amish books. Wouldn’t recommend

HER STRONG FAITH

A look at Samantha, older than most Amish and not married yet. A life similar to other young girls, in working in the same place as your boyfriend, until there is a break up. Seeing him everyday and with someone else. Taking a job at the newspaper, and hoping to meet that special person. She has a strong faith in God. Delightful to read and enjoyed the narration by Julie Lancelot.
