About this listen

The moment Joanna told me she was engaged, I had this awful feeling that something was wrong.

We used to speak on the phone every day. Growing up I spent more time at her house than I did at my own. I’d always imagined what it would be like to see her get married, and now I didn’t even know her fiancé’s name.

She asked me to come and meet Mark and I intended to tell her to slow down. You can’t know someone for a month and be sure that you want to spend the rest of your lives together.

When I got to Joanna’s front door, only Mark was there. He was charming and gorgeous and nothing but nice to me, and I started to understand.

And then he told me that Joanna was missing.

The Bride is a psychological thriller that will have you listening until late at night. Perfect for fans of The Girl on the Train, Gone Girl and anything by Lisa Jewell.

Really enjoyed this story I’ve listened to it twice now and I’ll probably listen again really good narrator , a good narrator makes all the difference to me

Excellent story and great narrator

This book is absolutely amazing, I loved every minute of it, it pulls you in and keeps you guessing.

Gripping

This is my favourite genre and the summary sounded interesting, but I couldn’t listen to the narrator for a minute longer...The actual writing seemed bland and I just couldn’t get into it - not for me unfortunately.

I couldn’t get past chapter 2

I persevered with this book, hoping it book develop into a good believable thriller. It didn’t. It stretched believability to a thread and limped on maybe little or no sense.. Stupid storyline, massive holes in the ‘plot’ and a damp squib of an ending. Absolutely will not read anything else my this author. Utter bilge.

Absolutely ridiculous
