Summary

The Brain Audit is a complete system that enables you to understand what's going on inside of your customer's brain.

It's a system that is based on a deep understanding of how our mind works. It shows you the bags inside your customer's brain. It gives you an understanding of how the brain responds to specific psychological triggers. And it speeds up the sales process, without the need to be pushy.

Being pushy is unnecessary. It creates an unnatural situation.

Instead of teaching you how to use mind tricks, how to psyche the customer into buying against his or her will, or being a system of coercion, The Brain Audit simply shows you how to attract and maintain the attention of a customer.

It shows you where the attention wavers and takes you through a series of steps that we all take on a day-to-day basis when buying products or services.

It also gives you a checklist that takes the 'iffiness' factor out of your own marketing and communication.

Stupid cheesy sound effects every other minute

Honestly I can't even finish the book, there's these really horrible annoying sound effects every other minute that really rubs me the wrong way. I don't know what the editor was thinking. Content seemed OK narrator was OK but if I could return this I would

The content is good, but the jingles annoyed me

The book would be better without the same jingle repeating after what seemed like every headline. Having some music was completely fine, but that one jingle just annoyed me to the point where I wanted to stop listening and get back to the book later.

The content is solid though, and presented in an easy to understand way.

Good book

Good book, good advice, pleasant friendly narration. The music between the chapters was driving me nuts a bit though lol, because I am usually listening everything in a higher speed, so it sounded like an absolute drum and bass mess xD

What is that annoying jingle!!!

I tried so hard to get into this but the repetitive jingle throughout is so annoying to the point where I could focus on nothing else! For this reason I had to stop listening , it’s just not necessary and spoilt the audiobook.

Worst Audio book I have EVER come across.

The book was recommended to me due to the content, why people buy and why people don't. I'm still; not sure that the author has delivered on the title!

What I found very F**kn annoying is the stock piano music every few sentences. When I listen to an audiobook I want to listen to the content of the audio book, Not a load of music every few seconds. What gave the author the idea that this music would make the book more listenable? All I can say is CRINGE CRINGE CRINGE. Is he trying to be cool or edgy or artistic? He fails at all of these.

I found it so annoying that I had to go back to listening to a podcast. Even a podcast with adverts was better then listening top this book. The producer of this book clearly has no idea of what it takes to engage a listener and maintain their attention. All they succeeded in doing was annoying me at the highest level. So much so that I fail to hear the message being sent. Sales 101, build rapport with your audience FIRST.

For a book on sales and why people buy and why people do not I am amazed that he is so out of touch and clearly does not understand his audience. I wonder if this is an Indian cultural thing. (I am Indian my self and grew up in the west). It seems that when Indians try and be cool they fail miserably. Some things Indians do very very well, like food and spiritual teachings. But others they should really just leave alone.

The book is 4 hours long and I just wonder how much of that is annoying fluff music. Seriously, we are talking every 5-8 sentences there is some pathetic music that comes up. Its both the fact that there is music and its no descript canned stock type music.

An audio book is an "AUDIO" "BOOK", the clue is in the title, its not rocket science. This has sot be one of the very very rare and few books that I will be asking for a refund on. That is how annoyed I am with this purchase.

And that is why I Am leaving this review.

Excellent book with loads of helpful suggestions

Very clear and easy to understand guide. Good structure that makes it easy to follow.

I was initially put off by other reviews criticising the jingles, however they really didn't bother me at all and did not impact on my enjoyment of the book.

Are you missing out on sales? This book reduces that likelihood significantly.

Sean writes in plain English, with seven clear steps to why people make a decision to buy, and why they don’t.

Marketing and sales can be a bit like throwing darts and hoping for a bullseye every now and then. Sean’s easy listening, funny and informative educative book helps you get much better at aiming.

This book has radically changed how I think about marketing and sales. As someone starting a new business on their own, this is ABSOLUTELY vital reading (or listening material).

If you are looking for a tried and tested, robust process for creating a sales “funnel” that works - listen to what Sean has to say. I’m confident you’ll be able to put to action what you learn immediately. There’s no wish-washy “theory” here. Practical stuff that has been proven to work time and time again.

Thank you Sean. I also bought the physical book whilst reading this because I wanted to have a reference to all of his amazing advice!

This is the second book review I’ve ever written. The first was for my mothers debut novel - please don’t take this review lightly - do not hesitate, read The Brain Audit now!!
