It did not live up to expectations. The storyline is trying too hard, characters have become either flat or overdrawn (ok, we got it: the sheriff is a bad guy, no need to make him do something evil in every scene) and every little aspect is explained, explained, explained, leaving nothing in between lines or to the imagination.
While the reading of the first book was simply superb, this one is ok.
