Summary

When a Vietnam Veteran and his wife return to Vietnam in the 90s, they become involved with returning MIA remains from the war. It isn't as easy as it would seem.

The chapter "Not Too Hai" offers the chance to see the other side of war from inside a war zone. In the chapter called "Six Killers" most of the listeners will be amazed at the way Vietnamese men, the ones that were once our enemies, think of Americans now.

The chapter "Phan Rang" will draw you into the paranoia that John and Hai have while making the extraordinary effort to finally reach the MIA remains.

Bringing home a human bone in the chapter called "Welcome Home" almost becomes a chilling reality of consequences when confronted at the Saigon airport by officials.

Listeners will enjoy the attitude of the author and the passionate, down-to-earth style in which this book is written. The Bones of Pleiku will give you chicken skin at times, and at other times will give one tears that say, “Right On!”
