Just loved this book

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It reflected life's up and downs during wartime . I wanted the story to continue and was sorry when it came to an end.

Fabulous story from start to finish ...

What a throughly fabulous story expertly read by Anne Dover who always brings the storyline to life. A beautifully written book by Daisy Styles which I found captivated me from the very beginning. It has everything, love, romance, joy, sorrow and above all real friendships during what was a very difficult time. The Bomb Girls stuck together through thick and thin overcoming some very terrible troubles. This was a book that I couldn’t stop listening to. Cannot wait to listen to the next book in the series.

Love conquers all

A lovely heart warming story of love moving mountains and comradeship during the harshest of times amidst such awful conflict and fear yet holding together a friendship that would never die.

Absolutely Brilliant

These stories of the Bomb girls make me feel such a range of emotions. The humour in them is great, I end up crying & going goose pimply. Written with such passion, I love Anne Cleves too, great voice changes, I love Billy in it. I wasn't born during the war but my late older family often talked about it, not the men though. Thank you.

Feel-good story of friendships

As tends to happen with Daisy's novels, I'm sad to leave the characters behind from this book.
There's 3 main bomb girls whom we really get to know, and their individual stories are equally as important, and have their own resolutions. Yet there is still a cohesive feel to the overall story, linked as it is to the performing of music.
It doesn't matter to me that certain parts of the story are predictable, that happens at times, but it gives a familiarity and comforting feel. And I still wanted to know exactly how things turned out.

Anne Dover narrates this one, and hope she does any future daisy styles books too!!
This is definitely a feel good story, with true friendships seeing the bomb girls through hard times. Really liked it.
