I remember when Joe first revealed this book to the design community and I wanted to reserve judgement. I have read a few game design books over the years and I've been a little bit disappointed but this hit the spot. I finished it and immediately read over again. He covers the whole design process in a down to Earth way and delivers the advice with confidence. I'd love to see more books from Joe in the future.

Essential reading for game designers

this is the 2nd book book I listen two from Joe slack I clearly enjoyed the first giving this one a try. it's a good basic knowledge point but not very different then the 10 biggest mistakes for boardgame design which I listened to before. this one I probably a better starting point though.

Some repeat but good base
