Summary

The entire Blue Lives Apocalypse series in one bundle! Plenty of post-apocalyptic action and suspense.

Sam and Jane Archer walk out of a backcountry hiking trip into a living nightmare. Their car is vandalized and dead, along with every other vehicle in the trailhead parking lot. Unable to get a cell phone signal and spooked by a threatening encounter, they resign themselves to a long hike home, suspecting a possible EMP attack against the US.

What they discover along the way shakes them to the core!

The electrical grid has been down for two weeks, plunging the world as they once knew it into complete chaos. Citizens live in helpless terror of violent gangs - the police hunted down and killed on sight. Food and essential resources have dwindled to nothing, taken by the wild bands of marauders that have risen from the collapse to murder and plunder at will.

Little hope remains, as Jane, a local police officer, and her husband, Sam, a military veteran, start the harrowing journey home to save their only daughter, Lea - before she is consumed by the madness - and help the communities retake their homes from the criminals who have descended upon them.

Utterly Dissapointing

I don't expect post apocalyptic literature to be high art but this book was the dregs. Save your money and buy something else.

Poorly Written

Probably the least entertaining Post-apocalyptic story I had the misfortune to read or listen to. I had to force myself to complete the collection, mostly because I couldn't believe that it wasn't going to get better. Truly sad about this one.
Amateurish writting.

Hard to finish

the narrator cops sound like Joe Friday with the Canadian accent. the belligerents in the book aren't any better. everyone seems superficial in the book. I would give this a hard pass if you were thinking about it

Not a good read what so ever.

It was a hard book to read. I felt like alot was going on, but nothing really ever happened.

The story was hard to believe, the book had to have been written by a ex-cop or something along those lines. I'm not sure why he assumed a prison let's out hundreds of inmates and that none of them have family to get back too. None of them had any sense of morals? They get free and their first thoughts are to kill all cops??? I understand they are prisoners but that's unlikely to happen that way. Another thing that irratiaded me was that fact that you never really find what caused the whole collapse in the first place. The writer made the entire series of books hard to connect to any character from book 1 to the last in its series. I really didn't care if any of them died. His characters are annoying which make it even harder to connect with them. Now lets get into to narrator, he was not a good fit for the books. Was it just me or did Mark the ex navy seal bad*** sound like Napoleon Dynamite? Tank was a super turn off I would fast forward though his scenes, just to over the top with the womanizing stuff. All in all wasn't worth my 1 credit, even tho it was 4 books in 1. I will be returning. I will not be reading anymore of Lee Wests or anything that is voiced by Charles Hubbell.

Not that interesting.

The story just drags on. I tried desperately to finish it, but I just couldn’t. I close to channel surf the radio, it was just that bad.

Should have listened to previous reviewers

This story was absolutely horrible. Poorly written, inconsistent. Virtually every character appeared to be an idiot.

I tried

This was very hard to make it three chapters in before calling it quits. I really tried to enjoy it but it seems to be written at a high school level.

Unrealistic Shallow Cop-Ish Apocalypse Story

The story starts unrealistic and unbelievable with the EMP Disaster almost an already known and assumed fact before any reason to suspect. Storyline was overly simplistic and shallow, like a Primetime Hollywood TV Show. Shallow Characters and story.
I am former Military And Law Enforcement and tried hard to empathize and ignore the overly simplistic shallow plot and story, and try to just enjoy some mindless action thrown on top of a generic disaster scenario, but could not.
Stopped reading part way through first book.

A nice change

This was a good series, a nice change from the normal apocalypse books. I like that the police are shown as the good guys that most are. To serve & protect. Our family proudly backs our men & women in blue. They put their lives on the line daily, & here in this series they do the same. Not my favorite series, but still a nice change from the norm, & loved getting the set for 1 credit! LOTS of listening time, GREAT characters, & a good ending.

Great Talented Narrative

While this is a somewhat predictable story the narrator does a fantastic job with MANY different voices. Thanks
