The bloodline

What did you like best about this story?

I have listened and enjoyed this series and 'The Bloodline' didn't disappoint.
After leaving his twisted family behind and starting a new life with the family , Andy is called home where he still finds himself trying to protect Laura from his controlling mother.
To be continued to the next book. Great narration.

Not a complete series

Any additional comments?

I read the reunion which is book one in the series a week or two ago and when I started this book was a little lost. so I went back and looked at my review for book one which stated this was a spin-off series where the author was trying to build on her past series instead of starting new. so throughout these books you're constantly being referenced to the other series for events that have happened. which is fine except for I wish things weren't titled books 1 through whatever to me they should the numbers after the other books in the other series. however about halfway through you're able to understand where the story is going in the past doesn't matter as much so you're able to still build the storyline in your head. I have to say if it wasn't for the narrator I probably would not have stuck with this book. the narrator is so animated and really brings the story to life which it desperately needed. the book has a great plot line once you're able to get on it it's worth it. I do wish to find out more about these characters just wish I had known this wasn't a stand-alone series.

Another winner by this talented author

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook, especially because if you have read and/or listened to previous stories about Andy Friessen, Laura and their family, you get a chance to see how both have grown as individuals and as a family. This time the shocker is not only the death of Andy’s evil mother Caroline, but that she left everything to Andy and the stipulations of the will. Will Andy abide to it and split his family or has he truly come to realize that Laura and his children are what matters in life? The listener gets a chance to visit with some characters introduced in other stories and if like me you have not read their stories, you are ready to dig into those as well. This is another thoughtful, thought provoking, and touching story by this talented author. With an engaging plot and complex characters that are true to life. Lastly, the narrator did a great job with the various voices.

The Bloodline

Great storyline! Andy is faced with a decision that many would struggle with. Accepting specific terms and conditions to acquire great wealth and power, or staying true to himself. The more I read/listen, the more I want to know about the Friessen family created by Lorhainne Eckhart. Great narration by Valerie Gilbert. She really brought out the emotions of the characters. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
