Billionaire businessman Chris Everett is successful, admired, and in charge. But when he decides to follow his friend’s advice and take an email-order date home for Christmas, he has no idea what he’s in for.

Kate Grant is a struggling artist without a family. Facing the holidays alone again is more than she can bear. Maybe a snow-white Christmas on a cozy ranch in Montana will be just the thing Kate needs to help her get through the holidays.

Chris soon learns that Kate is hiding more than one secret, and, when uncovered, her deception could drive them apart for good. But will snow-capped mountains, warm hearths, eggnog, and mistletoe draw back together two lost souls for a happily-ever-after they never saw coming?

I really enjoyed Chris and Kate's story. The characters were well developed and very relatable. I fell in love with them and their lives. Amanda did a great job of bring this story to life.

Whether you've read this book or not, you'll enjoy

I had read this book before but tried it again as an audible. Same great story but enhanced with audio. Kate really is a struggling artist. Both of her adoptive parents and except for her roommate friend she really is alone in her world. Her adoption was closed and she'd never heard from her birth mother until today a few days before Christmas. She's delivering a singing Christmas greeting when she is mistaken for his email date to take home to Billings, Montana which just happens to be where her birth mother lives. it must be fate so she accepts and heads out on his private jet. She's to pretend to be his fake girlfriend for his family. This should be easy. Then maybe not because he is a snarling millionaire but she needs the money sonwhats a girl to do? I loved the book and enjoyed Amanda's narration.

Sweet story - not my favorite narrator

All the male characters had the same dull, somewhat angry, depressed voice. The ending was a bit abrupt.

Holt and Stribling are like a balm for the soul.

Holt is my favorite author. She can open a heart, bleed it dry and then give it new life with only minutes to spare. The Billionaire's Email Order Date is a tale of heartbreak, risk and love in all it's glory. Chris and Kate are full of raw emotion, unfiltered hope and lessons that need to be learned. Holt and Stribling are like a balm for the soul. There will be tears, but they give way to smiles that make the sorrow worthwhile.

Moving and Enjoyable Romance

This book was both moving and enjoyable with wonderfully real and likable characters. The storyline was well thought out and although some difficult subjects were included in it the author dealt with them in just the right way.

Chris's wife died three years ago when she fell from a horse and broke her neck, it was a tragic accident but he blames himself and since her death has thrown himself into work and has virtually no personal life to speak of. He's even stopped visiting his family except for very quick visits at Christmas time. The last time he visited his mother arranged for him to meet lots of ladies so for this Christmas visit he decides to take a date - but as he doesn't have someone to take he arranges through an email dating agency for someone to pretend to be his girlfriend but at the time they are scheduled to leave she has failed to arrive!

Kate lost her adoptive parents about three years ago and since then has been trying to find her birth mother. She has just received a letter from her telling her she would like to meet up and giving Kate her address in Billings as well as her phone number. Kate has just spent the last of her savings on a ticket to spend Christmas with her flatmate and her family so has no way to get to Billings.

Kate is working delivering singing telegrams, her last job before going to the airport is to sing We Wish You A Merry Christmas to Chris. When she rings his doorbell wearing an Elf Suit he assumes she's his fake girlfriend, gives her no time to speak and tells her she's late and to hurry up and change so they can make their flight to Billings on time. Once Kate ascertains that he's paying his fake date $10,000 and that they will be in Billings she decides to play along. She knows that the truth will come out but decides to go anyway.

This was a lovely Christmas story with so much love in it as well as guilty feelings and learning how to forgive and love again. His family were wonderful but didn't know how to help him move on.

The narration of this book by Amanda Stribling was very well done and added to my enjoyment of the story.

This audiobook was given to me as a gift and I am Voluntarily writing my review.

Enjoyable, Clean Romance

Chris hires an email date to take home for the holidays to avoid having to go out on the blind dates his mother always arranges for him since the death of his wife. Little does he realize that the woman he takes home to Montana with him is just a woman that was delivering a singing Christmas-gram. Kate was just delivering a singing card before flying to Chicago to spend the holidays with her roommate’s family when she is offered $10,000 to be a pretend girlfriend for a week at a ranch In Montana. How can she turn that down? After all she is just a struggling artist with bills to pay and how difficult can it be? Plus she just received a letter from her biological mother that she would like to meet her, who happens to live in Montana. Sounds simple right? Well nothing could be further from the truth. Things soon become complicated when you’re dealing with a guilt ridden, surly man, a woman with secrets & duplicity and then there is the sudden attraction between them that both don’t want to admit. This is an enjoyable, sweet romance with an excellent narrator.

Loved It

Both the author Vivi Holt and the narrator Amanda Stribling are new to me.

I found the story heart warming and the narrator did a great job bringing the story to life.

Chris Everett has not recovered from the accidental death of his wife. It’s been three years and he has closed himself off from life and his family.

When a case of mistaken identity leads Chris to offer Kate Grant a chance to make a great deal of money she jumps at the chance. All she has to do is accompany Chris as his date home to Montana for Christmas.

Will the magic of Christmas bring these two lonely people together and give them a chance to find happiness or secrets destroy any chance they might of had.
