Summary

Joseph Anderson has decided it is time his three successful sons find brides. Joseph wants grandchildren to fill his huge mansion, and he wants them immediately. He was successful in his eldest son's match, and in this book, his scheming brings Alex and Jessica together. Alex is a confirmed bachelor who loves to travel all around the globe and romance as many women as possible. That is until he meets Jessica Sanders. One night with her and he is changing his views of bachelorhood and starting to think that married life is the new way for him. Jessica comes from a wealthy family, and has had one too many good looking men take advantage of her family's money.

When she meets confirmed bachelor and known playboy Alex Anderson, she is distrustful of his flirting, and tries to avoid him at all costs. That is until they end up trapped in an elevator, and her fear of the dark, tight space is greater than her fear of the man she is trapped with. Alex comforts her by making steamy love in the elevator, and when she runs away once they are free, he walks away wanting more. One year later he finds out he is a father, and he makes sure Jessica has no other choice than to let him do the honorable thing. They have passion, romance, love and family to help guide them through the chaos.

If less than 1 star were possible!

I do not understand why this got such wonderful reviews. The writing is fine, but the story?????? What the heck! It is written as if we are still in the 1800's. Who calls a child a bastard, what kind of heinous parents on force their daughter their child to "not bring shame to their family or that of the fathers" and force their beloved daughter into marriage. Both grandfathers are despicable and Jessicas mother though says it is okay for her daughter not to marry has no control and should never be able to look in the mirror again without slapping herself stupid. Honestly, I am almost embarrassed that this was written, published and popular. Alex is a pompous, obnoxious, narcissist and all around disgusting human being. Just because he can throw out a few good compliments does not make him a decent human being. Sex is not love and he truly deserves to have his ass kicked on a daily basis. Jessica should grow a spine and run like she is on fire. I cannot believe that in this day and age anyone would conceive of such a horrible story. It is truly offensive on just about every level.

Anderson’s

Words cannot describe how much I love the Billionaire Bachelors series by MA. If only there were more Anderson books...I’d love an update on everyone years later. I loved Lucas & Amy’s book, & I love Alex & Jessica’s as well. BUT I love Joseph the most! He just steals the spotlight for me. Narrator did an ok job.

Sweet but repeat of previous book

Sweet story, but nearly identical to the previous story. Maybe change it up. Nice story.

Sorry, this book just seems flat to me

Sorry, this book really makes me miss Bromberg, Claire and Scott’s billionaire books. Those books and authors keep me engaged with theirCharacter development. I admit I fast forward to the end of lost chapters because the well written steely sections aren’t for me because I save that for my husband :-). I find those series very entertaining and listen to them 2 to 3 times. I can’t wait to get the next one in the series. This book just isn’t my cup of tea and I hope others find it Better than I did. Can’t wait to go back and read those other books again, I know the author puts a lot of time and effort into their works.

Need to READ the book instead....

While the story was good, the narration is horrible. The narrator was mostly monotone throughout the story, which made it almost impossible to get through. I would rather read the book myself so that I can get a full spectrum of emotions in my mind.

While Lucas and Amy are wonderful, Alex and Jessica sre perfect for each other and although they did take the long way around to discover it, especially Alex. Oh my, does he have stubborn doen pat. Well, it's certainly true the harder the fight, the greatrr the fall. Fun to watch it happen.
