Touching, funny, brilliant.

I have never come across a David Sedaris story I didn't love. If I had to pick a favourite it might be Solution to Saturday's Puzzle. Hilarious. The comedy timing and gentle insight is nothing short of genius and it is the perfect short story. I often feel thankful for the shared snippets that paint the author in an imperfect light, showing his humanity and making me, the reader, feel better about my own.

For me, his best compilation of works.

As ever, beautifully read and written. Eloquence oozes from each and every sentence within all the stories from start to finish. And a great overall arc of his life.

If you love David Sedaris

Then you love David Sedaris. His books, read by him, are the best way to consume them. Since my father introduced me to him via his BBC radio show ‘Meet David Sedaris’ I have been hooked. This volume is a wonderful trip down memory lane combined with more recent moments and topped with an interview. I thoroughly recommend this audiobook.

Great introduction to David Sedaris

I’ve been a fan of David Sedaris for years but this is an excellent introduction to anyone who has not previously had the pleasure. A great collection of stories and essays, made all the more funny when narrated by David himself.

Loved it

hilarious and entertaining. found I had to break up the listening as otherwise it was a bit like too much of a good thing and it passed me by but love it and essential for it to be heard in his voice.

Thank you Thank you Thank you

What a gift this book has been. I’ve listened to it twice already. I’m a bigger DS fan than ever and have shared it with friends and family who are now devoted followers too. His signature performance style brings each word to life, and the expertly curated music between each piece sets just the right mood.

Fantastic

A total staple and wonderful grouping of stories. Some which I knew well and some which were new to me. David Sedaris is unbeatable.
