Summary

A Greek island solves all life's problems...doesn't it?

Winnie, Stella and Frankie have been best friends forever. When their lives unexpectedly unravel, they spontaneously decide to buy a gorgeous B&B on a remote Greek island. Drenched in hot sun, Villa Valentina is the perfect escape from reality. But when Winnie meets Jesse, their brooding neighbour, she finds that Greece is full of its own complications - not least how attractive he is....

Meanwhile, Frankie and Stella are discovering that Villa Valentina has its own secrets - starting with the large supply of gin in the cellar and the arrival of a famous rock band. A band with one very good-looking member who just might distract Frankie from thoughts of her husband....

Smart, sassy and sexy, this summer sizzler is perfect for fans of Lucy Diamond and Jane Costello.

Fantastic - a wonderful listen well worth a credit!

A great, feel good listen with believable characters. I loved One Hot Summer but think Kat French has surpassed herself with this book. The narration is spot on too.
Highly recommended!

Nice summer listen

A pleasant story about three good friends with - some foreseen - and unforeseen twists.

Summer Story

A usual sort of story where the end can be predicted by the beginning - but a reasonable story for all that. Some of the ‘love’ scenes are a bit ‘teen mag’ stuff and the characters stereotypical.

The spirit of a Greek adventure.

A really charming and interesting story. I couldn’t turn it off as I was agog at what the story would turn up next. Excellent narration and most enjoyable tale because it wasn’t fleshed out but kept to the point. Highly recommended for an easy enjoyable read.

Another wonderful listen from Kat French

I wish all of Kat French’s books were in audible format as I’d buy them all. Instead I’ll be buying the others in hardback. Lovely characters and stories that you want to keep listening to!!

Boring!

This is the worst book I have listened to by a mile. I persevered expecting it to get better (it didn’t) and I was so happy when it was finally over! The love scenes between Jesse and Winnie went on and on and were so boring and unnecessary - I kept skipping 30 seconds, then another and another and another...and still it’d be droning on. So much time was given to that part of the story that the interesting bits were skirted over. Seriously, don’t bother!

The Bed and Breakfast on the Beach.

A lovely read. Sometimes humorous, sometimes sexy, occasionally serious but making you wonder what will happen right to the very last chapter.

Awful

I really tried with this one but it was terrible. Awful characters and terrible storyline. So predictable and dull.

Hated it so much and could not continue after a few chapters.

Okay book

Book was entraining but predictable and a bit cheesy (airport scene with Stella was silly). Liked the setting though, and the characters were described well.

Fun summer read

I needed a break from the serious fiction I’d been reading. This one was a quality, fun romance. Narrator Georgia Maguire is really good and adds to the enjoyment of the audiobook. If you want a happy escape, well written and emotionally satisfying - definitely worth a listen. Just don’t expect anything deep and intellectual - but that’s what made it a great escape.
