Excellent and not for the faint of faith

Mcmanus really delves into what it took (and takes) to follow Jesus. Not learn a religion, just follow Jesus. If you're tired of the message of "be a good boy and God will smile on you" then this is the book for you.

Deep Drafts of Life

This book was to me like deep breaths of air on a mountain top. Deep because it strikes to the heart. But unpolluted and shockingly crisp like mountian air, reminding me of what I thought I had to put up with as normal.

Wow!

This book is fabulous! I've read it twice through already & loved it even more after the second read. The information is so important to me because it verified what other barbarians in their love for Christ go through mentally & what can happen when when you stop listening to God's voice from within.

I book that once I started, I could not put down.

One of the most challenging and inspirational books I've read in a long time. It has challenged me to dig deeper with God and live outside the box.

I am the Barbarian

I purchased this book after the Lead Pastor at my church looked at me and said: You are the Barbarian, I can see it in yours eyes.... I looked at her with question and she told me about this book. This came about from me munstering the courage to go after His call. I've always been called to do crazy things and I've done them. She looked at me and said, you would think it would get easier but looking at you and I can see it only gets harder... after two seconds into this book I was tripping it out. I am the person it describes down to a T. This is a great book and we need more barbaric people in this covenant!

Running free

the book talks about the Barbarian way but it's about running free in Christ. What a wonderful concept to be free of all Innovations and moving towards becoming more like Christ and all that you do. The Barbarian way is the Christian way.

Clarity revealed

The balance between loving others and battling the enemy defines the "narrow" path and this book provides much needed insight as to how to live that out. A must read for all who call themselves Christ Followers.
