Excellent and not for the faint of faith

Mcmanus really delves into what it took (and takes) to follow Jesus. Not learn a religion, just follow Jesus. If you're tired of the message of "be a good boy and God will smile on you" then this is the book for you.

Deep Drafts of Life

This book was to me like deep breaths of air on a mountain top. Deep because it strikes to the heart. But unpolluted and shockingly crisp like mountian air, reminding me of what I thought I had to put up with as normal.

Wow!

This book is fabulous! I've read it twice through already & loved it even more after the second read. The information is so important to me because it verified what other barbarians in their love for Christ go through mentally & what can happen when when you stop listening to God's voice from within.

Not for the faint of heart.

Over 10 years ago when I turned 15, my Father bought this book for me. It awakened a faith inside of me that I did not know was possible, following Jesus became real for me, the Bible not a sacred text but an exciting adventure into the heart of God and all those that would heed his barbarian call. This became our family’s creed and now after 10 years it still propels me in my faith as a husband, father, pastor and above all follower of Jesus. It is a short book that I have given away to so many people as gifts. I can not recommend this book enough!

Impacting and inspiring.

Erwin delivers an inspiring challenge to anyone on search for meaning in this life.

He challenges the status quo and offers a new way to look at common ideas.

His writings command that we all ask and answer the greatest question “are you willing to live your greatest life?”

Each book of his builds with intensity and purpose driving your heart and innermost being into full a state of inertia.

I book that once I started, I could not put down.

One of the most challenging and inspirational books I've read in a long time. It has challenged me to dig deeper with God and live outside the box.

I am the Barbarian

I purchased this book after the Lead Pastor at my church looked at me and said: You are the Barbarian, I can see it in yours eyes.... I looked at her with question and she told me about this book. This came about from me munstering the courage to go after His call. I've always been called to do crazy things and I've done them. She looked at me and said, you would think it would get easier but looking at you and I can see it only gets harder... after two seconds into this book I was tripping it out. I am the person it describes down to a T. This is a great book and we need more barbaric people in this covenant!
