Summary

A war is brewing between the hunters and the vampires and Chloe is determined to strike against the vampires before they have a chance to attack. Unfortunately, her plan goes all wrong and results in a massive takeover by the undead.

This group of unlikely heroes have the power of elements, magic, and strength on their side. They have even recruited one of the original vampires to help aid in their mission. But will it be enough? Will society ever go back to normal now that the world knows that vampires truly exist?

The Arcadia Falls Chronicles is the continuation of The Vampire Hunter's Daughter. Following the format of The Vampire Hunter's Daughter, The Arcadia Falls Chronicles is serialized into several novella-length stories.

For teenagers only.

What would have made The Arcadia Falls Chronicles Omnibus better?

1. A warning that this book was intended for teenagers, so don't expect mature plot or dialogue.
2. A warning that this book is not standalone. You probably need to grow into this series and its characters by reading earlier related stories, otherwise the encapsulated history in the prologue, where the heroine lists an absurd number of paranormal abilities and relationships, seems really silly.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not this series.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of the narrators?

The narration was the first thing that turned me off the book (but not the last). To be fair, had I expected to listen to a teen romance/adventure, then the annoying whiney teenage voice would probably be appropriate. However, as I had just finished a series read by Kristine Hvam, one of the great narrators, the narration here was particularly irksome - but I don't think even Ms Hvam could have saved this story.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. I purchased this based on the story outline and the reviews. All of the reviews were extremely positive and consequently I feel I was completely misled by them.

Any additional comments?

I am returning this book without finishing the omnibus.

One of my favorite worlds to escape to!

This is one of my favorite series! I have enjoyed reading it just as much as listening to it on audiobook! Many family members (including my teen daughters) fell in love with this world & the characters after hearing my praises of it. I love that they too found it so appealing. Getting to listen to it though, that has taken me on a whole new mini vacation to one of my very favorite worlds created! Jennifer Malone Wright has a talent of transporting us away to Arcadia Falls in all the vampire hunting awesomeness that it is. This series is full of diverse characters, loads of action, lasting bonds, thrilling adventure around the world, life changing choices, raw emotion, vampires, magic, & hunters galore.

Great quick read!

This was a great read on my hour commute to work. I'm glad it came as an omnibus because it was a quick read. It kept me interested and is filled with tons of action. I love how it picks up after The Vampire Hunters Daughter so we really get to grow with these characters.

I enjoyed listening to the audio book, and really liked how in the later books, it goes into the different characters. It allows for a more in depth understanding of them and what they've gone through.

Great and fast paced!

I received an audible copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this story. I liked that you get to learn about so much more of the vampire history and background which made it very interesting. I had thought that this book was the conclusion to The Vampire Hunter's Daughter, so I was so shocked when it abruptly ended with a huge cliffhanger! I'm anxious to read the next in the series.

From the audiobook point of view, I really had such a hard time with the narrators which was completely not their faults at all! I was so used to the original narrator from The Vampire Hunter's Daughter that I was kicking and screaming like a child saying, "That's not how they sound!" Lol. Plus I had a problem with the female narrator's voice of Xander. He sounded to me like a dumb surfer dude or something, lol but other than me nitpicking and not being able to let go of the original narrator's voices, it was very well done!
