When Hollywood needs a love story, sometimes they have to fake it.

Small-town outcast Lexie Steele gets caught in a tabloid scandal with Hollywood’s golden boy, Jett Carter. A paparazzi photo gone viral, a desperate need for damage control, and suddenly Lexie is thrust into the spotlight as Jett’s “girlfriend.”

For Jett, it’s a career-saving PR stunt. For Lexie, it’s the perfect chance to prove to her small Scottish town that she’s more than her mistakes. But as their “love” story takes them from Los Angeles parties to Lexie’s small Scottish hometown, the lines between acting and reality blur in ways neither of them saw coming. Jett is charming, infuriating, and way too tempting. And Lexie? She might just be falling for a man she was never meant to love.

Perfect for fans of fake dating gone wrong, The Accidental Actress is a laugh-out-loud, feel-good romance about two people who discover that the most genuine love stories can't be scripted

Really enjoyed this story, very sweet and with lots of comedic moments! The voice reading was funny in the right places and highlighted the key moments in the story. I enjoyed the first Heather Bay book, and this proved to be just as magical a story as the first. Yes, it's an enemies to lovers story so the plot is sort of laid out before the story read, but it was a great listen and was fantastic as an audiobook whilst I was on a short break, listening in the car. The cast of characters are well rounded in the story and I love being transported to the Scottish Highlands in this series.

Beautifully narrated by Angela, this is a witty, light hearted romance brought to life on audible. It got me through many hours of train journeys and left me in a much more relaxed and happy frame of mind. Would highly recommend!

The perfect tonic to listen to on the daily commute!

I am such a fan of Amber Eve's work, her style is funny, engaging and relatable. I love that her characters are clumsy - just like me - and seem to find themselves in all sorts of situations.

Loved this book from start to finish. The main characters was so relatable and hilarious. I liked he switch between the settings of LA and the Highlands too. The best part was the the narrator and the different accents she did for each character and the way she read it was great.

The narrator had an idea exceptional voice!

Really enjoyable read. The characters are engaging and it was interesting how the main character seemed a little self-centred and shallow natured to begin with but as the story developed and through a series of unfortunate incidents we saw that her character was far more complex, she was resilient, kind and self-critical. I could really visualise Heather Bay and the various characters were so well described and I loved the interaction and the feeling of familiarity in this small Scottish town. I do enjoy Amber's writing and her ability to paint a vivid picture for the reader.
