Summary

In today's world, the desire to create a strong marriage and family is not enough, it takes a new mind-set, a new skill-set, and a new tool-set to deal with the challenge. The principles of The 7 Habits provide a time-tested mind-set and skill-set. In this program, Dr. Stephen R. Covey and his wife Sandra along with his brother John and his wife Jane offer insights and personal experiences in applying these proven principles to marriage and home.

Great philosophy - very short

I love the Covey way, but this is very compressed and too short. The seven habits book covers almost all of the ground, but there are a few anecdotes that are included here.

Excellent advise

This is a great audio book for anyone in a marriage relationship. I have been happily married for over 40 years and yet you can always glean great ideas and terrific reminders of what is really important in a marriage. Eternal principles never change. Thank you to the Coveys for these reminders. I give it 5*s

Stephen Covey does it again!!!

I thought that this book is another wonderful product by Stephen Covey.

I’ve been a fan of his for years and have lived my life by The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, so this book was right up my alley. I only wish that I had read it before the end of my 5 year relationship with “the woman of my dreams who I just knew was going to be the wife that I had always dreamed of”. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to this book in time and implement all of the great suggestions into our relationship. I am in another great relationship now, and I’ll be sure to add this book and the 7 Habits to our relationship and hopefully marriage.

Keep up the great work Stephen Covey!!! You’re awesome!!!

Better than expected

I didn't have the highest of hopes for this book going in, but I have to admit, it was insightful and I definitely learned and became a better man and husband from listening to this!

Informative like stereo instructions

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

If you are planning on getting married or have been married and need some refresher on marriage, then yes.

Would you recommend The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Marriage to your friends? Why or why not?

If they were having issues in their marriage it can be helpful.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

YES. . .the author's wife is very old and it sounds like your grandparent telling you how to sustain a marriage, but not cute like your grandmother would tell you, more like a lecture.

Was The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Marriage worth the listening time?

Yeah it is pretty short.

Any additional comments?

I had to read it, this was better then reading it.

Too short

This audio program has good general advice, but is way too short. Only the second part of it goes into the Seven Habits.
