More sales than story

The concepts were good but he spent way too much time selling. Ruined the book for me.

Great content, just very repetitive

SO you have great information but the book probably could have been cut down by half. I don't know why you have to tell the same information multiple times with multiple examples. Its not rocket science.

Would have enjoyed more practical tips.

I think this is an important concept to practice in the workplace and/or athome with your friends and family. However, I would have enjoyed more concrete tips regarding how to approach certain scenarios or a few basic steps, phrases to say, or reminder thoughts to think right at the beginning as you begin to implement the concepts. The last chapter of the books says they sent bi-weekly prompts to a team starting to use appreciation in the workplace and saw significant results but it didn't offer any of those prompts as a mere starter. Some advise was dispersed throughout the statistics and broad discussion, and those were appreciated, but they felt few and far between.

Contradictive

Some facts presented as 45 to 55% and then the authors tries to state that how many more the 55% is representative. some quotes were completely self contradictory as though the editing was sub par.

Apply this right away!

I loved this extremely logical and objective outline of how to effect positive change in a work environment (really ALL work environments!). I bought a hard copy so I can bookmark the points that are relevant to my work place and will be passing it along. The whole book is loaded with valuable data and identifies as many obstacles as possible. Highly recommend!

perfect fit for managers amd coworkers

like the 5 Love Languages, this book helped me appreciate that everyone has differences in appreciation . It ALSO helped me see that, although he is missing the mark, my boss appreciates me. I have let him know what I desire/need. I have also suggested all of our employees take I it.

Great Advise. Slow Read.

Great Advice!!! I use it daily!! Slow read though. It was hard to get through. Really worth it for team building and I also use it in my personal life now too. I don't regret listening to this book.
