About this listen

The entity of Nolost has racked Rale with plagues, disasters, and armies of demons.

Dante, Blays, and Gladdic's final effort to defeat him has failed. Within weeks—if not days—Rale will be destroyed. One last hope remains.

They can't kill Nolost, but they may be able to eject him from Rale before he can complete his work. To do so, though, they'll have to destroy a world themselves: Olastar, the home of the portals that link all other places together.

Even with a guide to help them through it, Olastar seems bent on killing them by assaulting them with grotesquely warped animals and malevolent spirits.

As they work toward the world's core, they learn something horrifying: this strange realm isn't unpopulated like they'd assumed; it's inhabited by millions of people. If Dante and Blays want their own world to live, they'll have to kill every last one of them.

The Galand series is by far my favorite book series, with this book being my new favorite of them all

Top notch performance and writing

Awesome! A real escape from normality. As always, excellent writing and some laugh out loud moments. More please....

A great continuation of the adventures

I’ve really enjoyed this cycle and am a big fan of the author and narrator. However, I feel that the last two books in this cycle are just shoe-horning an extra story in where it need not exist. It get more and more fantastical and actually detracts from the overall storyline. Overall, it’s all worth a listen but I wish it had finished two books ago.

Good but goes on too long

A bit too long but still great. Not one needs to be more dimensional with more characters

Brilliant

Perhaps I'm spoiled after so many wonderful hours spent listening to the other books in the Cycles, but this latest installment was just not *quite* as brilliant as the others.

The performance was top-notch as always, the action was great, the twists never-ending, and the banter between the three protagonists was as entertaining as ever... But man, there were some long-ass boring conversations with/between other people. Getting through them was a labour of love 😬

Still great though.

Good, but oddly boring in parts
