Clare Ashton writes satisfyingly feel good sapphic novels with variable story lines. I enjoyed the Oxford location of these stories and the appearance of characters familiar to both.
However, having got used to the characters voices from one reader in the first book it was hard to adjust to their new voices from a second, distinctly different reader, in the second book.
I still enjoyed the story but had the first readers voice in my head for the major characters that had appeared previously.
For consistency might I suggest using the same reader in these circumstances.

A fabulous read/ listen with wonderfully drawn characters full of warmth and humour. The setting, Oxford, almost seems like one of the characters. Beautifully written with crisp dialogue. A perfect way to spend a couple of long journeys.

Love this book. The connection, and intimacy between the main characters are caring, deep and absolutely beautiful. They grow and evolve with each other making this a lovely story.

...that is beautifully narrated by Shiloh Grey. CA's delectable saphic romance is written with grace and tenderness, while her prose is sometimes so well constructed it could be poetry. The well developed and believable characters are each given the perfect voice by SG who conveys every mood of the story with feeling. I cannot praise this audiobook highly enough and hope there are more in the Oxford Romance series coming soon.

Maybe even more than book one! I loved the neurodivergent representation and explanations of how it can affect people. It’s great to feel seen in a book!
Lawyer/Actress, secret crush, slow burn, multiracial couple, divorce. Written in third person with 2x POVs. 4x spicy scenes. Narrated by Shiloh Grey.

Definitely recommend giving this a read/listen.
