Summary

Gabe Mercer

Singer, rockstar, asshole.

He's the one thing from my past I've tried to forget.

He is famous now. A rock god.

I'm happy being a nobody...and I wanted to keep it that way.

I thought I was succeeding until I came face-to face with him, once more.

Harper Jackson

Frosty, unimpressed, sexy as sin.

She made my past bearable, kept me sane long enough to drag myself out of the hell I lived in. I repaid her by breaking her heart and leaving her behind.

But now, she's back and, even though I know I should stay away from her, I can't.

The problem is by forcing Harper to become part of my life, it might just get one of us killed.

An all-new contemporary rockstar romance series from the author who brought you The Midnight Pack!

Yes to Tattooed Memories

I loved listening to Thomas Locklear, wow can that mans voice melt you. This is my first L Ann book and I was not disappointed. The book and the voice of Thomas Locklear go together both are hot., A story of second chances and hidden pain. Harper and Gabe knew each other as children and grow up together. They both go different directions and fate takes her turn and brings them together. Can the pain of the past be over come. As well as the romance there are plenty of twists and turns in this book. Also some plenty of steamy moments between the characters.

Great second chance romance.

With an intense story of past and present entangled, Tattooed Memories is perfectly named. A rockstar romance, that aspect is secondary to the ties that bind Harper and Gabe. Thomas Locklear narrates with confidence and style, though sometimes his female voice is a trifle more difficult to accept. That, however, does not detract from my overall enjoyment of this audio 💖💖💖💖💖

Fantastic start to a series

This is my first book by L. Ann and I really enjoyed her writing. The characters are vibrant and full of life and the story flows seamlessly and that ending leaves you wanting more. However this is the only book in the series as an audiobook right now. I know some people might wish to wait until all the books are in audio. I loved all of the voices that Thomas can do, all so distinct that it was like hearing several narrators performing yet it was all just Thomas. Incredible listening experience. The emotions that you go through in this book will keep you glued to your device not wanting it to end. I was gifted this audiobook and I loved it but it is my opinion only. I will say that you can definitely buy this audiobook and have an amazing experience too!

Addictive and amazing story

I received a free audiobook in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own The plot is a definite 5 star. The narrator is a definite 5 star, on the male POVs. Unfortunately for me, the same narrator is also used for the FMC's POVs, which is something that really irks me. I absolutely do not like when a male or female narrator have to distort their voice, to read as the opposite sex. I much prefer dual narrators. The characters are amazing and I don't understand all the people who have a problem with the MC. Sure, he might have some attitude problems and be a typical badboy persona. But... really, who wants to read an entire book about someone with perfect manners, who never do anything wrong? Where's the fun or reality in that? The FMC can hold her own and she's luckily not a virgin pushover, who just gobbles up his BS without thinking for herself.

Hot As Hell

Thomas Locklear does an amazing job at narrating Tattooed Memories, but amazing is all you’re going to get when paired with the awesome words from L.Ann. OMG he has such a great range of voices it’s unbelievable how he does them. He definitely brings a whole new dimension to this book.

Wow!! Sexy Rock Star

I received this book as a promotional credit. I was super excited to listen as it was right up my ally. This book was spectacular and I couldn’t stop listening. The characters were well developed and very likable. I am a fan when books go back and forth between then and now. The only issue I had was the narrator made the female voice very airy and whispery in certain parts and it make it feel like she was being a little air headed.

Not what I expected

Starting off in the story I expected to completely hate Gabe and was prepared to dislike to story. Possibly not even finish it. I don’t even know how to describe this. There’s a lot of back and forth between past and present story, which isn’t bad but present story was either then fighting or fucking. There was no substance in it. It’s like it was tried to be redeemed with a stalker but that’s so infrequently in the story that I don’t understand what it’s there except for in the very end. Also near the end is a paranormal twist that is thrown at you, never explained, and then disappears shortly after. I don’t get the point. It was very jarring to the story line. Narration was ok. When from the male POV it’s great but the switch to the female POV it’s not so good. Gives the female character an almost whispering quality to her voice and it’s pretty stilted at times.

Love, love, LOVE Gabe and Harper's story

What a book! Thomas Locklear does an amazing job narrating - the voices are a perfect fit for each character and the transitions are so smooth. As for the story...*sigh*...it is just beautiful. I don't want to give any spoilers so I won't say anymore. Can NOT wait for the next book!!!

A sexy Rockstar Romance!🎸🔥

This is a sweet, hot, second chances rockstar romance. This one ticked all my boxes and I absolutely loved the chemistry and passion better Gabe and Harper. Thomas Locklear brought these amazing characters to life with his expressive and versatile narration. The audio delivery was seamlessly, smooth and flawless. Overall, I definitely recommend this if you like an opposites attract, steamy romance with one bad boy Rockstar and his chance to get back the one that got away.

Feel good story

L. Ann is a new to me author. I came across her because my favorite male narrator did the narration. This was a change of pace to the books I normally listen to as I lost my belief in a sweet love story a long time ago. But L. Ann brought it back to life❤️ one of the main reasons I typically steer clear of sweet love stories is because authors tend to make the heroine naive doormats full of insecure angst and the hero pulls all the weight. In this book the heroine is independent, strong, knows her worth, and what she likes (if ya know what I mean 😈). The hero is a heart melting god. He didn’t want to change her and respects her but also holds true to who he is and his passion for his job. Speaking of passion🔥 gosh 2 mature adults that know what they want in the bedroom and Thomas’ talented voice🔥🔥🔥 This book definitely tested all of Thomas Locklears’ vocal range and performance abilities. For a man with such a yummy deep voice he can also perform a convincing female voice. He keeps you so immersed in the story that it feels like you have a movie reel running in your head.

frosty and gabe

I love this book. From the very beginning until the very end I was hooked. I read and listened to the audiobook of this and I couldn't put it down. This is a story about what you will give up to make someone else happy and hope that they will still be yours. I can't wait to see who's story is next.

Gabe Mercer

Don’t you hate it when you’ve written almost a page of review only for your screen to refresh and remove all you have written lol 😂 yeah cellphones and Audible lol 😂 back to the review at hand be amazed as Thomas Locklear takes the listener on a theatrical journey of the senses as his masterful voice transforms into That of Gabe, The Band, Carl, Harper and many other characters as he brings you into the world of Tattooed Memories - not many male narrators can pull off a female voice but Thomas Locklear pulls off an amazing Carly Simon inspired voice of Harper and many other women even a gorgeous French female accent (😍😍 Ooh La La) Never a dull moment with the characters and their stories at hand, and the sound for When Gabe says Carl lol 😆reminded me of the YouTube cartoon series Llama’s with Hats lol 😂 This male narrator is a keeper, with his multi diverse linguistic skills definitely one to write home to momma about. Or purchase the audio and let her experience his amazingness all on her own.. I found the story quite tumultuous in levels from betrayal through to the redemption of self A dark past leads to a brighter future - and Love redeems all things even in the space of total despair. Highly recommended rockstar romance with all the trimmings Tattoed Memories is one to be listened to, to be believed.. by the end of the audiobook I was hankering for book 2 in this series..

second chance

I experienced a myriad of emotions while I listened to this. I'm usually not a fan of rock star books, but this one pulled me in and held me captive start to finish. The flashbacks and present day storyline are scorching with chemistry. I loved Gabe and Harper more as the story played out. The epilogue!!!. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job with voices and expressions bringing it to life.

Fantastic rollercoaster ride

What a fantastic rollercoaster ride...and such amazing twist. I simply couldn't see it coming. It was so darn good. Gabe Mercer ...damaged, fallen angel, bad boy,  the singer of a Forgotten Legacy has ever loved one woman. Although his actions didn't show it. She was the only one....Harper Jackson...his Frosty. For her sake, to get everything she's ever wanted, he had to leave. And the only way to do that was leave her heartbroken.  She swore, she won't get to see him anymore, not after everything he has done. Yet after 8 years, when they meet again she can't decide if she hates him or if she cares.  Nevertheless the attraction has been there all those years.  Could Gabe convince Frosty everything that happend was just for the best? Is it possible to fuse both of their worlds? Oh and let me tell you...the narration done by Thomas Locklear was brilliantly done. It was such a joy to listen to his voice while he brought all of the characters to life.
