The fifth installment of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan series, Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar finds the eponymous "ape man" travelling to Opar, where a lost colony of the city of Atlantis is found, in search of treasure.
In this 1918 adventure novel, Tarzan is followed by a corrupt Belgian army officer, loses his memory, and enrages a high priestess named La. Meanwhile, Jane has been captured by an evil Arab.

Summary
Tarzan is the original super hero, one most of us would like to be.
