Discover the sweeping slow-burn romance set in the glamorous, high-stakes world of elite horse racing - perfect for fans of Jilly Cooper’s Rivals and the heartfelt storytelling of Jojo Moyes.

To the outside world, Sage Deverill has it all. In truth, her marriage is a gilded cage.

When Sage flees her marriage, she takes her young son to the only place that has ever felt like home: her grandparents’ manor house in Newmarket, the beating heart of the racing world.

Surrounded by ivy-clad walls, the kindness of her family and the thunder of hooves on the heath, Sage reconnects with the place, people and creatures she loves most.

Riding beneath the wide Suffolk skies, Sage encounters Rafe Dunbarton – an ambitious, intriguing trainer with a gentle soul.

What begins as friendship soon becomes an irresistible pull between two people who never expected to find each other.

But just as Sage rediscovers her freedom, her past returns in a tangle of destruction and lies, and she is forced to decide how much she is willing to risk for her future . . .
A sweeping romance about finding courage, healing and hope, Tangled Webs is set to be your next escapist reading obsession

Fairly long winded story, but good story line, cliff hanging finish, will get next book when out next year.

Good read

Really enjoyed the story and the lovely characters created within it. Especially love the references to Newmarket & the racing industry which I love. Highly recommend!

Love how the story develops from hardship to true love

Having loved horses all my life I appreciated the content around them - the authors descriptions of the natural world and the places the main character visited were good.
Sadly for me the characters were insubstantial and definitely cast as ‘ goody/ baddie’ ..
The narrator had a strange way of cutting off the narrative and restarting which disturbed the flow.
The sudden finishing of the book with a cliff hanger is unfair. A bit of a cheap trick to be honest.

Insubstantial sadly.

Totally unsatisfactory ending. Muddled throughout. Had the impression that it was autobiographical for the majority of the novel. Next “ episode” in the series due for publication next year by which time I , and probably a number of other readers/listeners, will have lost interest and moved on. Falls into the same basket as the Claire Balding semi autobiographical novel Pastures New which was also unforgettable. Sorry Callie…stick to knitting beanies and keep your precious family private.
