Summary

Buckle up for a wild ride as Dixie Whiskey finds forever love in TAMING MY WHISKEY, a funny, sexy, and emotionally riveting standalone romance by New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster. The perfect love story for those who enjoy fiercely loyal and insanely sexy alpha heroes, smart, sassy heroines, strong family bonds, bikers, babies, and more!

In TAMING MY WHISKEY....
Being the princess of the Dark Knights motorcycle club doesn’t come with a white knight or a fairy-tale castle, and that’s okay, because Dixie Whiskey has never needed a man to slay her dragons or make her whole. Even so, after watching each of her brothers fall in love, she’d sure like a shot at her own happily ever after. But with the Dark Knights watching over her and the only man she’s ever wanted out of reach, she’s not holding her breath.

As the launch of Silver-Stone Cycles’ biggest line approaches, Jace Stone is left needing a favor from the one woman who holds the power to take him to his knees. He knows when it comes to sinfully gorgeous and sharp-tongued Dixie Whiskey, he must stay on his toes and keep his walls firmly in place. But Jace needs her for his business - and Jace Stone always gets what he wants.

When the tall, gruff, and darkly handsome biker presents an opportunity that any other woman might see as the chance of a lifetime, Dixie turns him down flat. But Jace is determined, and he pulls out all the stops - sending Dixie’s overprotective brothers up in arms. Rebellious Dixie takes a stand - going after the freedom, and the man, she’s always wanted. One scorching kiss leads to an undeniable connection, but Jace isn't looking to be tied down, and Dixie refuses to play second fiddle. Can two untamable hearts find forever love in each other’s arms?

Loved this story and the narration so much!

Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow narrate this story beautifully. I enjoyed both of the ways they brought the characters to life.

I love Dixie, she is soooooooo feisty and just, I wanna be her when I grow up! I loved this story and the whole set up behind it particularly the way that Dixie and Jace danced around each other so much. I would happily spend a lot more time in this world as I feel their story is probably not over...

Beautiful

Stone is attempting to find the perfect woman to be the face of his company. He doesn't want just any model. He wants an authentic biker chick. He has a specific woman in mind, but doesn't think she'll take on the project. When the one who does accept, breaks her leg, he discovers that his original lady has done a similar job in the past. He decides to try to talk her into it. I really enjoyed this story. Had I known that it was a book 6, I'd of tracked down and bought the first 5 before listening to it. I was already too deep into the book before I discovered it, though. It's probably for the best. My book allowance is non existent these days. Considering how this story played out, it seems like the series is a stand alone series that can be read out of order. It's just that I'm the type that reads series in order regardless of if they are stand alone or not. The characters were pretty amazing. It focuses the attention on Stone and Whiskey. For obvious reasons as they are the main part and point of the story. I just kind of wish that some of the background characters had a bit more of a highlighting role in the story. Sometimes I got a little confused with who was who and where they belonged. Not too often though. Thank goodness. I really enjoyed the narrators. I am not sure if I've ever listened to anything from Devra Woodward before. I am willing to listen to other audiobooks by her though. I have listened to Aiden Snow before. He's a very delightful listen. I plan to listen to more of his in the future. He's got this really soothing voice. I really enjoyed this story despite not being able to read the first 5 books that were before it. It was hilarious and glorious. I wound up giving it a 4 out of 5 star rating. I'd of given it full 5 stars, but I felt like some of the major points of the story were overlooked and rushed over. It didn't ruin the story, but it did leave some questions unanswered.

Young love never died

I liked this story and I loved the big family and all the secondary characters, my only regret is never reading the other books in this series so I had more background info before reading. When that’s said, it can easily be read as a standalone.
Dixie and Jace’s story is a sweet one about young love that never leaves your heart.
I loved the dynamic between them and the chemistry was hot and clear from the beginning.
Characters descriptions is very good, I feel like I know them after a while.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and good dialogues
Steamy hot love scenes that’s not “to much”

Narrators:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings. Very enjoyable listening to.

5 stars overall.

Great story, with excellent narration.

I have read and listened to Melissa Foster's work in the past but this is the first book that I have picked up with the Whiskey family and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I really want to add every other book to my basket and get listening. Dixie and Jace (I love that name!) are a wonderful, full of zing, steam up the kindle couple whose story had me captivated.
Both Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow's narration was sublimely good. With clear characterisation and mood expression, they were a complete treat for the ears.

Taming my Whiskey

I have been dying for Dixie to get her love story & what a story Melissa has given her. Dixie is a fierce, confident woman who can stand up for herself, but she also has a softer side, and at times vulnerable side and I loved how we got to see that side of her in this story. I wasn’t sure who Melissa had in store for Dixie, but I knew it had to be someone man enough to take her on as well as prove to her brothers he was the real deal. Enter Jace Stone, rugged, tough and definitely man enough for Dixie. ⠀

Jace designs motorbikes, and has a new line coming out along with a clothing line for woman and after being let down by a model he turns his sights on Dixie, who if he had realised had modelled in the past would have made her his first choice. Dixie puts him off for a long as she can but eventually decided to do it, following her brother ganging up on her at the charity auction.⠀

From here we really see Jace and Dixie come together in more ways than one, their story is hot and their chemistry is on fire. But Jace is not perfect and his back an forth approach to his feeling gave me whiplash and left Dixie feeling broken-hearted, and my heart broke right along with her, but he fixes the wrongs and shows that no one is perfect but they can be perfect together.⠀

The Narration:⠀
Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow were just perfect at voicing Dixie and Jace. You know how you get an idea of how someone would sound like when reading a book? Well these two nailed the characters perfectly! The audio was crisp and clear and flowed seamlessly between the two voice actors.⠀

Dixie and Jase!

Although Dixie loves her three over-protective brothers dearly they have a way of intimidating anyone who shows an interest in her. She knows that any man she falls in love with is going to have his hands full convincing her brothers that he is worthy but it isn’t really a factor as the man she has always wanted hasn’t shown any interest in her.

Jase creates custom motorcycle and he has always been attracted to her but he is only interested in flings when it comes to women and she is a forever kind of girl. He wants her to be the model to showcase his bikes but convincing her has become a bit of a challenge.

These two are magical to watch. Dixie knows what she wants and what she wants is Jase and as much as he was determined to keep their relationship strictly physical she had a way of getting under his skin and straight into her heart.

This is a sweet and sexy about family and love that is filled with hot chemistry, witty banter and so much emotion. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought the narrators were the perfect choice for the characters. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

I Loved It

Taming My Whiskey by Melissa Foster was an engaging page-turner that had me hooked from beginning to end. This was Dixie and Jace's story and I loved how perfect these two were for each other. With the back and forth banter between the characters, intense chemistry, and the hot, steamy scenes you cant help but fall in love with these characters and will be rooting for them throughout the story. This was an excellent read and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.
The audible version of this novel was narrated by Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow. These two were perfect for this story and gave a fantastic performance. Their narration was clear and understandable and they brought the story to life. I absolutely loved listening to them narrate this novel.

Crazy Cajun Book Addicts

Melissa Foster has written another fabulous instalment of the Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor Series.
This is Jace and Dixie's story and I was immediately hooked.
I listened to the audio addition that was narrated by Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow. They did a fantastic job with the narration and I found myself getting lost in their voices.

Dixie Whiskey is the only sister to the very protective Whiskey brothers but Dixie is strong willed and and can definitely take care of herself. When Jace Stone is in need of a model Dixie immediately turns him down but eventually he wares her down.
These two have an amazing chemistry and sparks are about to fly in this emotional rollercoaster of a story.

A fun sexy and emotional story not to be missed!!

Taming My Whiskey

Taming My Whiskey by Melissa Foster is a biker romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow.

This is the second book of Melissa’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. It was absolutely amazing. Melissa sure knows how to take you through an emotional roller coaster. You can’t help but fall in love with Jace and Dixie. I cannot wait to read more books from The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series.

Devra and Aiden did an amazing job on the narration. They are an amazing duo and really brought the story to life.

Another great addition to the Whiskey's Series

Taming My Whiskey is the second book from The Whiskeys series that I have indulged. Luckily they are standalone so you can read any of the books in any order.

This book focuses on Dixie Whiskey, she is the only sister out of the Whiskey siblings and her brothers are very protective of her. The Whiskey’s are a close family unit and she has seen each of her brothers find love, when will it be her turn? Right Now!
Jace Stone is needed a model for his calendar and Dixie outright refuses, but then she sways and agrees. They have known each other for a long time but unbeknown to each, they both had a crush on each other.

I like Melissa Foster’s books because there is always someone you ‘know’ from previous books come in, like Bones, ahh how I loved him! But she can also come up with new ideas for her romances. For someone with so many books out, I don’t know how she does it, but she does it well!

This was another fantastic book that kept me hooked from start to finish. The narrators kept my attention and it is nice having the two narrators for each point of view.

oh, HOLY SH*T....

I have been waiting on this book for months (maybe even longer, maybe since the moment I met Dixie Whiskey), and I was just not ready for this. This book is EVERYTHING ;)

Dixie is still her tough, no-nonsense self, and Jace is just the man to go toe-to-toe with her. The two of them have chemistry that is off the charts, and sparks fly at every corner. This book is just scorching! The narrators bring this chemistry to life so well, and it makes you just want to melt!

But like everything with the Whiskeys, it's about family and love and taking care of those around you, and this book is no exception. This book is full of the things you have come to expect from this family, plus a whole lot more.

Melissa Foster really outdid herself when it came to this book. There are some stories you just want to curl up in and never leave and this is one of them. Five stars is not enough....

Steamy Read

This is the first book in The Whiskeys series that I've read and I really enjoyed it. I will read the others, they're standalones so can be read in any order.

The Whiskeys are a close knit family and the brothers are quite protective of their only sister, Dixie. Dixie is strong and independent but she has a sweet vulnerability that I really enjoyed. Jace is hard working and dedicated with no time, or desire, for a relationship. The chemistry between those two was fantastic. They we perfect for each other.

The narration by Devra Woodward was Aiden Snow fantastic. Their voices worked well with each other and fit the characters. They brought the story and characters to life.

Taming My Whiskey

This is the sixth book in The Whiskeys series by this author. It can be read as a complete standalone. Each book in this series is about a different couple but with interconnected characters. You do not need to read the other books to enjoy this one. I’ll be honest, this is probably my favorite series of this author. The characters, their issues and circumstances, seem more real. I’ve also been looking forward to getting Dixie’s story from the very beginning. She’s the only girl with three overly protective brothers and is surrounded by a whole bunch of other “brothers” and “uncles”. Even in the other books it was always a struggle for her to date. You knew the right one had to be someone special, and Jace Stone is definitely someone special. He’s a big, tough, “not looking for commitment”, just having fun and focusing on my business, alpha male. Even though he’s known Dixie for a while, the switch was finally flipped from “must stay away” to “must have”. There are so many things to love about Jace. He is sexy, sweet, protective, and caring. The chemistry between the two is hot.

I have to be honest, Dixie missed the mark a little for me. While she is sassy and strong in most areas, I think I expected more. There’s a fine line between being vulnerable and being whiny, and she fell slightly on the whiny side for me. Most may not see her this way, and my feelings may be because I had such high expectations for her in all areas. The other thing that missed the mark for me is that the rest of this series is about people with real jobs, real lives, real circumstances, but in this one we are back to the multi-millionaire alpha. I know that may be seem like a ridiculous thing to be picky about, but there are so many books out there where the money is the sign of success and is a focal point of the book. The rest of the series is more about the people and I loved that change of pace.

The narrators for this book were really good. Their voices were the perfect fit for these characters. In general, this was a good book. It was a good addition to this series. There are also hint of what I hope to be future books in this series. If you like this author and this series then definitely check it out.

HOT! HOT! HOT!

I absolutely loved Jace and Dixie’s story! Very emotional and steamy! I want Jace to growl at me 😉.

Dixie only has eyes for one man. I doesn’t matter because her biker brothers manage to scare away any man that gets too close. Until Jace....he holds his ground with Bullet. He knows what he wants and he’s determined to get her.

Listening to these two try their hands at a relationship is everything. It is uncharted territory for both of them. It’s messy, hot, swoon worthy, and a long time in the making. They both deserve it, but can Jace handle the sacrifices?

If You Loved The Book, You're Going To Love This

This author always takes the time to develop all her characters and that includes the secondary ones. Dixie is that woman who can be stubborn when she wants to be and then turn around and be a vixen that taunts when she’s after someone. She just needs the right partner – one who can stand up against her brothers. Jace Stone likes what he likes and makes no excuses. One of the secondary characters to watch out for is Jace’s brother, Jared. I don’t think it was intentional but he had me thinking of Rob Gronkowski – they both have a big personality. And having the right narrator helped to put that picture in my head. The author makes you feel as if you are a part of the family. When the family gets together it’s like you’re catching up with them as well.

Having great narrators helps you feel a part of the story. We just have to sit there and listen to all the gossip. Listening to Ms. Woodward and Mr. Snow helped me picture what Jace and Dixie should look like. Especially when it comes to how much of a smooth talker Jace is. They made it easy for me picture the scenes as they played out. They also made it very easy for me to decide that this is one book that I plan on listening to more than once. Although our narrators made it very tough to put down because there is never the perfect place to hit the stop. Once you’re finished getting to know Jace and Dixie you’ll understand why their ending was so perfect. I want more of the Whiskey family - I wonder if they're adopting!

The more Melissa Foster books I read, the more I enjoy her writing style. Taming My Whiskey was the best yet. Funny and sexy, Dixie and Jace's story kept me listening and rooting for them. I love how strong and independent yet vulnerable both Jace and Dixie are. Although I enjoyed reading Taming My Whiskey I think I would have enjoyed it even more if I had read the first five books first. I love how all of Melissa Foster's worlds intersect and it makes me want to binge read/listen to every story in order to get the larger experience.

Emotional and Sexy Story!

This is the sixth book in The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor, a MC Series. I haven't listened to the first books in this Series yet. Dixie and Jace's story is emotional and sexy. I love Dixie! She is a strong and sassy character. Jace is an intriguing character. They are great together and they share a sizzling chemistry. I love the family spirit in this story. Hot and Emotional

Melissa has written another fun sexy story. Dixie Whiskey was raised with over protective big brothers that belonged to the motorcycle club called the Dark Knights. Dixie learned to ride at an early age and she had a sharp tongue to boot.
Jace Stone wanted Dixie to model for his business, Silver-Stone Cycles for his new line that was coming out. Dixie had wanted Jace for years, but Jace didn't want to be tied down by a woman because he had been hurt before. When they got together sparks flew and turned into flame.
Debra Woodward and Aiden Snow were great narrating it. Their voices made me picture the characters as if I were watching a movie.

I'm a Whiskey kind of girl.

My ears just got a reminder of what my heart already knew. I'm a Whiskey kind of girl. Strong personality, an abundance of heart and temptation that is hard to hold back. Jace and Dixie are a potent combination that Woodward and Snow turn into an intoxicating listen. Foster gives verse to an unforgettable, unpredictable and downright irresistible love story. From her heart to my ears, Foster brings the fierce to an awesome delivery by Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow.
