Talking with God
Summary
Are you seeking to realize the full potential of your relationship with God? Do you desire a method of prayer that is uniquely suited to your life? If so, this is the course on prayer you've always wanted. With a simple yet powerful approach, Talking with God: Lessons about Prayer will help you enliven and deepen your life of prayer.
Your presenter is Jesuit priest Fr. James Kubicki, the national director of the Apostleship of Prayer, the "pope's own prayer group". In these lectures he integrates decades of personal experience with deep wisdom about the Catholic spiritual tradition. As you will learn, there is no "one size fits all" method of prayer. These lectures will inspire you to find your own individual way of communicating with God. To do so, you will draw upon the wisdom of St. Ignatius Loyola, St. Teresa of Ávila, and other great teachers of prayer.
Throughout this spiritual journey, you will explore such topics as the Lord's Prayer, various types of prayer (intercessory prayer, contemplation, lectio divina), the Examen and discernment, and the roles of imagination and desire in prayer. This brilliantly taught program is ideal for both individual spiritual edification and use in group settings.
In considering a wide variety of prayer methods, you will find encouragement to follow the path to which God is calling you. Enter deeply into God's love today.

A truly enriching experience
Fr. Kubicki does a phenomenal job at presenting different kinds of prayer with sufficient depth to get you wanting more, while still meeting the objective of the book.
Note - during the talks Fr. Kubicki is referencing a "study guide" with references to the many sources used in the talks. I am not sure where to find this "study guide".
