About this listen

Let the coach to the world's top CEOs help you move up to a whole new level of success! In Take It to the Next Level: What Got You Here Won't Get You There, world-renowned executive educator, coach, and consultant Marshall Goldsmith reveals the 21 bad habits that could be holding you back from ascending to greater achievement, prosperity, and happiness - and causing you to suffer negative consequences you aren't even aware of. For each of these habits, Goldsmith offers a simple and highly actionable alternative behavior that will have an electrifying effect on your quest for greatness. You'll discover:

  • How you may be deluding yourself when it comes to your own success.
  • Why feedback is so much more critical than you thought, and five ways to get it without having to ask.
  • What you should stop doing right now.
  • The future of coaching.
  • The special challenges faced by people in charge, and how to overcome them.
  • The ideal time to change.
  • And so much more.

If you are completely satisfied with your "here," Marshall Goldsmith's ceiling-shattering insights and strategies are definitely not for you. But if you are ready and willing to shed some ineffective behaviors so that you can move your professional, personal, and financial satisfaction from "here" to "there"' - a place where you're making more money, having more fun, and enjoying your work, relationships, and life more than ever before - Take It to the Next Level is the jolt of energy you've been waiting for.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to move up to the next level. Captivated me throughout. First reading was hard....identified myself in many examples! However, it gets better the more you read. Don't turn the page if you are not ready to take a critical look inside you and at what is holding you back...but if you are, then you are in the right place.

This is the one I was looking for!

I love the approach of the author. He had real world and real examples that I could apply in the my own career. It was structured in such a clear and easy way to follow way with an additional amazing handbook.

This book will change the way you do things if you follow its steps. Highly recommend for anyone that wants to get better and achieve their goals.

Great practical advice that anyone can use

Very useful, practical and inspiring thoughts. Even though quite a few things are repeating from other books written by Marshall Goldsmith. This does not reduce their value.
It would be great if the audio version could be re-edited, because the sudden switching between the narrated book and some recorded public speaking events was quite distructing. I also found that in some cases sentences were cut unfinished at the end of the chapter i.e. chapter 5.
Overall the content for me was worth it.

great book with fun narrator however some of the cheasy background music sounds like it was recorded from a cassette tape and the love section recordings have uneven sound.
