One of the best audio books I have listened to. Moving, well narrated, intense, emotional, complex, very good ending. Can’t really fault it.

For some reason I read book 2 in this series first, a couple of years ago, so thought it was high time I reacquainted myself with Zara Kaleel. This book certainly didn't disappoint. It is a cracking courtroom thriller that gave me much food for thought. I absolutely love the character of Zara, who is a 30 something Muslim woman living in a western world which is at odds with her culture. The book is brutal, intense and heartbreaking. There were several twists and I loved the ending which took me by surprise.

The three narrators did a great job.
