Summary

Changes in the Mirza family have left both Tavi and Rex struggling to learn their new roles - and there’s no room for error. Pretending to be his twin brother is more difficult than Tavi could have imagined, and family secrets threaten to tear him apart. Rex, protected and cared for in every way, has a far from peaceful life.

Both have gained knowledge they didn’t necessarily want to have, and now that it’s been learned, they can’t simply forget it again. As their lives continue to change, will they change for the better… or will the price for the twins’ actions be too high?

*This is NOT a standalone and should be listened to after Want (The Need Trilogy, Book 1). This is dark taboo tale contains several kinks that may offend or trigger some listeners, including (but not limited to) age play, ABDL, spanking, and humiliation. Not every dynamic or element is 100 percent consensual.

Though The Need Trilogy is set in The Fate of the Fallen world, the trilogy can be listened to separately from the series. The main characters do not appear in the FotF/SQ books, and there are minimal spoilers for the series or other books set in the universe.

as good as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Kenneth Obi is one of the top 3 narrators (so far) for me, I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

A twisted tale of taboo love

If I thought book 1 in The Need Trilogy was dark, well I was mistaken, because Take (Book 2), takes the cake. When I started book 1, I won’t lie, I had a hard time with the relationship between Tavi and Rex. I can’t say that in book 2 that it was much better, but I can say that it wasn’t the first thing on my mind. I think that’s why I have enjoyed Kenneth Obi’s narration in both book 1 and book 2 so much, because he’s somehow able to narrate this story in such a way that I just enjoy the ride. I can hear Rex’s vulnerability and Tavi’s uncertainty. I can feel the emotion and love they feel for each other, in spite of the fact that neither one really wants to admit how much they need each other. This is definitely a dark taboo story, but it’s also more than that. It is also about personal growth and about the brothers being at a place where they each have to decide what they want. Yes, the book is dark and it will make some people uncomfortable and yes, this is not a standalone so you will need to read book 1, but if you like your stories dark and twisted, then you will enjoy this book.

A story that leaves you wanting more

The story continues from Want. As much as Rex wants to hate his brother he finds himself needing what Tavi is doing to him. I love the trust that builds between the brothers.
Narrator Kenneth Obi does a fabulous job.

Thanks for the ACX

Thank you for the ACX, I voluntarily give this audio an honest review. Tavi is learning more about the outside world that rex had been protecting him from, with their mother trying to wed Rex off, how will Tavi cope? Rex is learning more about himself and Tavi then he may had wanted to. With the age play/ shame and comfort how will this all play out? Will the Twins survive the outcome of all the manipulation? Loved this audio Kennth Obi did an amazing job

secrets and realizations

so many secrets between all these family members that my mind is realing! Their mother is far from maternal, and her children are objects to manipulate and control to her whims.
She make me violently ill. I love the shift in the power dynamics and even more the changes in Rex as he realizes what's more important- love or freedom! Craving more. The narrator's voice and expressions added positively to my enjoyment.
