This is written largely as an autobiographical work, making it entertaining, to keep it light, but it's great strength is its clarity of explanation. As an Inland Revenue trained former tax accountant myself (!) I felt a good deal of empathy with the Rebel and enjoyed his take on what can so often (oh god, for so many years!!!) be a dry subject. I enjoyed the 3 tax solution at the end as well, as a discussion point. This should be required reading for school-kids, or at least form a part of the Economics syllabus to bring tax and related issues to life.
I found the narrator engaging (as though he really is the rebel) . Quite the right voice for this.
Recommend, even to those who think tax is boring.

I gave this book five stars. Dont let the title put you off!! It’s very informative and at times laugh out loud. I felt the author had a great sense of humour and the narrator was excellent for a change.

This is easily the best book on this subject I have ever read. I shall be contacting a tax planning advisor post haste.

This book covers what could be a tedious subject in a very engaging way, including both humorous anecdotes and historical perspectives. It is a must read for anyone curious about how the real world works.
