The echoes of betrayal still ring loud, but vengeance is within reach.

The thirst for power grows. The call for allies intensifies.

Reunited with his purpose, Sloan's ascent continues.

In a world where deceit shaped its history, a new era of rifts dawns. Red rifts, harbingers of divine wrath, bring forth gods and monsters, challenging humanity's very existence. As anarchy rises, the remnants of humanity cling to survival, relying on the Hunters who brave these rifts to keep them at bay. Amidst the chaos, the so-called heroes maintain their rule over the fractured land, backed by the powerful Association that seeks to control the coming change.

But change is inevitable, and Sloan will be at the heart of it. Level by level, he'll advance, navigating the treacherous landscape of gods, Hunters, and a world on the brink of collapse. With each step, he will reclaim the destiny that was taken from him. His vengeance.

Really love this series. The Characters are so well-written. There's a lot of action and adventure mixed with betrayal and vengeance. The world-building is simply amazing and there real struggle for the MC. Loved it

I enjoyed the narration, felt like he was really enjoying playing the parts and gave a great performance, the story was entertaining but the end was a little faster paced than I had hoped but that didn't take away from it at all.

Entertaining and kept me engaged

Good sequel audiobook but it suffers from switching narrators, that's not saying that Max Dowler did a bad job, In fact he did a very good job but it was very jarring going from Adam Stubbs who I thought was fantastic in the first audiobook to a new narrator.

Good follow up but suffered from narrator change

I was very confused as to what was going on for the first 7 chapters or so, I did seem to get what was going on after that.
I really hate it when they change narrator !! this person killed the vibe of the story and made it hard to tell which character was talking and did a poor job of attempting a female voice.
the end felt rushed and could have had it spread over the last 2 book instead it was crammed into the last 15 short chapters.

Confused
