I am always a little nervous starting an office romance book as the power differential that inevitably exists between boss and employee can be problematic unless handled well. The two characters here work without that power imbalance being a problem because Adrian, the younger employee, is the one clear about what he wants. Kane, the older employer, is an emotional mess with a seriously problematic family. He is the one who has to grow up in the course of this story. Unfortunately, he hurts Adrian badly in that process. There were times I loved these guys together and times I wanted to tell them it would be best if they separated - a real roller coaster of emotions but all in a good way for the story. Read this one if you are in the mood for emotional ups and downs with some heavy but not dark angst. Nikola Muckajev is a new narrator for me and I enjoyed his work very much. The timbre of his voice is perfect for the hot scenes and his matter of fact delivery in the rest of the story makes the characters and their emotions seem real.

Loved this so much. Yes, the miscommunication plagued the relationship, but I just really enjoyed the pacing and the narrator is my absolute favorite and he just really made this book sing. I super enjoyed it!

Adrian is looking at becoming a dentist, but he is unsure if it is the right profession, he gets a part time assistant job at Lakeshore Dental, where the hot Dr Kane will be his boss. Kane has dated younger men and it has been a nightmare but the attraction is there and they have a 1 night stand, which doesn't stay that way, Adrian has to show Kane he isn't like the others. Brilliantly written and narrated

This was a good listen. It mostly kept my attention though there were times when the drama felt a bit manufactured or not as severe as it was made out to be. Overall enjoyable. I had to speed up the narration a fair bit to make it listenable to me. Not the worst narrator, but not going on my must-listen list either.
