About this listen
You met Romeo Prince in the Amazon and USA Today best-selling novel Sweet Home. Now hear the story from his lips: unbarred, uncensored, and raw to the bone.
It makes me laugh when I hear folks think Molly and I rushed into things too fast, spouting that we couldn't possibly have felt what we did for each other in such a short space of time. I say, how the hell would they know? We made it, didn't we? She became my whole life, didn't she? And as for my folks not being real, being true? Tell that to me aged 10, 11, 12 - damn, all my bastard life - when I was never enough, when I was beaten until I bled for being too good at football and not being everything they'd dreamed: the perfectly dutiful son. Tell that to thousands of kids around the world getting wailed on by asshole parents for whatever stupid reason; tell them evil doesn't exist in their eyes.
F--k Romeo and Juliet. This is the story of me and my girl, from my lips. No mushy sentiment, no cheese, just the plain, hard truth, and, because I'm feeling generous, I'm going to let you in on more of our story, too.
Sweet Rome is a new adult companion novel to Sweet Home. It contains adult content, sexual situations, and mature topics. Suited for ages 18 and up.

Awesome story
Again as per the first book they story is awesome love this Author BUT THE NARRATION IS DREADFUL.
This person has obviously never heard a northern UK accept. Made Molly sound like a strange mix of the Queen and an Essex slapper. Spoil the story for me.

Brilliant!
Fabulous story (as are all Tillie Cole's books), performed really well by the narrator. I've listened about 3 times since purchasing and I' m pretty sure it's one I'll go back to again in the future.

What’s with the awful English accent?
Can I just say the story is a belter! Wonderfully written with a great plot. Unfortunately, the female English accent for the lead character was, I am loathe to say, dreadful. Considering the character hailed from North England she sounded like a distant relative of the Queen.
A little bit of research especially when characters birth places are mentioned wouldn’t go amiss. It would be impossible to but just a softening of the tone would have worked.
Once again, great story.

OH NO!
I absolutely loved reading Sweet Rome on my kindle, so I thought its been a while I'll listen to it on Audible. What a mistake! No thought has gone into researching the accent for Molly. She is an educated girl from Durham, not a lady that has been brought up in Buckingham Palace or has a nanny called Mary Poppins. The accent that was used for Rome was spot on, but it pained me to listen to the story with the terrible female accents. Really disappointed and its such a shame as the story is fan-flippin-tastic.
