One disaster bi single dad. One sexy plumber on a house call. One hot-as-hell romance.

Rhys

If I was a hot mess before becoming a single dad, my life’s pretty much an on-fire garbage can now. Okay, maybe that’s a tad melodramatic—my bestie/baby momma/ex-girlfriend is still awesome, currently in the throuple of her dreams. And my kiddo Sammy’s amazing, albeit exhausting. I’m the one who’s too intense and rambling, too obsessed with random trivia, too liable to set dinner on fire. Essentially, too much for any relationship.

However, when a hottie plumber drops by to fix our toilet—thanks, Sammy—and gives me his number? My luck might just be turning around.

Cole

After my dad moved to a retirement community, he left me with the big, old house I grew up in and a whole lot of loneliness. I thought by now I’d be settled down, but no one’s looking for the guy who likes long hikes with his dog, stargazing, and fixing shit around the house. They want fun, entertaining, flashy—not me.

Except when I give Rhys my private line for an emergency house call, I show up for the job to discover it’s a date. It seems like I might’ve met the one man on earth who’s just as interested as I am—if only we can find the guts to admit it.

I absolutely adored Cole and Rhys. Their first date was memorable - suffice to say, it was awkward but funny. These two were all kinds of cute and the little Sammy took the cuteness to a whole new level.

Narrator’s performance was fantastic.

The author was new to me, so I had an open mind; I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this short, witty romance.

We meet Rhys and Cole and Rhys's sweet son Sammy. Great side characters, including Coles's disabled dad. Well-written everyday life experiences. I enjoyed it a lot.

Dylan Rockwell is a new narrator to me, but he was a pleasure to listen to. He was clean and concise. I sped this narration up to 1.20 on Audible, which is usual for me.

The meet cute was really funny and endeared me to both protagonists right away. And their first date made me love them even more. I was really rooting for their happily ever after.
Rhys was a bit chaotic, rambled when he was nervous and was always told that he is "too much " by everyone in his life except his best friends.
Cole just wanted a simple and quiet life and was always told that he is boring.
Both men had a lot of insecurities but they helped each other grow and realize that they were worth the best. It was beautiful to read.
The two of them were absolutely adorable together. I was honestly smiling the whole time I was reading this book. They just warmed my heart and made me happy.
And my God their chemistry was explosive!
The found family theme in the book was also wonderful.
If you are in the mood for a sweet, no angst romance that will definitely melt your heart I highly highly recommend "Sweat connection ".
The narrator was amazing, I really loved how he voiced the characters. He brought this amazing book to life.

I loved it! So sweet!

Sweet, uncomplicated story. Rhys, single dad, friends with his ex meets Cole, plumber. Instant attraction which, after a few missteps, they work up to a solid romance. Nice characters, loved Sammy (the kid), his mum (Rhys's ex and bestie). Overall, a low angst, fun story.
Dylan Rockwell is new to me. Good, solid performance - I knew which character was on deck at all times. He showed a lot of enthusiasm for the steamier scenes :) I quite enjoyed his performance!

Enjoyed it :)

This is the kind of book that has you smiling from beginning to end. Both MCs are just so dang cute as are the extended cast of characters - many of who you can already spot being lined up for their own standalone books. The chemistry and banter was delightful, as was the spice and though single dad isn't my favourite trope I couldn't help loving Rhys and his little boy Sammy. Great start to a lovely low-angsty MM series. I really enjoyed Dylan Rockwell's narration, he has a great voice for audio, though at times it was hard to remember which character was speaking as there wasn't as much variation as some narrators put into their readings.

Sweet, steamy, speedy listen
