Summary

Do you know how to survive a disaster?

If the answer is no, then the Survival Medicine Guide is a must-have!

In a world as the only survivor of medical knowledge after a disaster, there is only one vital skill that very few survivors will have. Fighters and builders are significant, but there is no survivor as valuable and sought after as one who can aid in the event of illness or injury.

As any good prepper knows, thinking ahead and planning ahead would make it possible for you to live a healthy and healthy life completely off the grid. The ability to take care of the sick and injured is one of the most essential skills you can have.

I've spent my life honing my own skills as a survivor, and now I'm here to tell you how you can keep your precious ones healthy and alive.

Hello, I'm David Burke. I'm an expert survivor, and I've had a lot of practice living off the beaten track, making my way with nothing but a set of basic tools and my own experience to sustain me. I've studied the terrain and learned to do it, and now I'm here to put that experience to good use. I will tell you how to be an emergency responder that you and your loved ones will need after a disaster.

Give me one day, and I'll double your chances of survival. Give me a week, and you'll have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the crises you're likely to encounter in the post-disaster world.

If you are searching for a comprehensive guide to all kinds of home remedies and survival-based medicine, look no further because you've already found it! Here in this book we cover everything from a minor headache to the treatment of critical conditions, such as strokes and seizures! In this troubled world, we can't always rely on prompt emergency services. But this book gives you and your loved ones the extra edge you may need to survive.

This comprehensive medical guide goes through major symptoms of illnesses and walks you through how to treat these issues step by step. The book also lists vital essential oils and home remedies that are sure to alleviate and improve recovery. You should get this book if you care about your health!

Some of the topics covered are fractures, nosebleed, chest pain, and much more. Dr. Joseph Alton highlights several medical conditions, covering over 100 medical issues. In addition, he provides information on how to handle different situations, what to look for, and how to treat. This is a valuable, essential reference book for every home. Highly recommended!

this book will be invaluable. He also gives lists of supplies to have in a survival medic kit and to start patiently putting together and acquiring NOW and get more medical training if possible. He also emphasizes developing a positive attitude about disasters now, a "gloom and bloom" mindset, not a negative "gloom and doom." The Achilles heel of the the U.S. is over reliance on computers to do everything. Once some malevolent hacker or country that hates the U.S. finds a way to shut down the electrical power from the Mississippi River to the East Coast or worse, and does it, using this book to be prepared for it will pay off well.

recommend this book more highly

There is a lot to wade through in this book. The author, a physician, clearly states that a lot in his book should be done if there is no disaster and hospitals with medical personnel are NOT available. Doing otherwise many medical procedures in his book is clearly practicing medicine without a license. When disaster of some kind strikes - earthquake, violent riots and lots of firearms used, perhaps an EMP strike with a missile from a freighter, whatever the extreme situation - then this book will be invaluable. He also gives lists of supplies to have in a survival medic kit and to start patiently putting together and acquiring NOW and get more medical training if possible.

EXTREMELY USEFUL, INFORMATIVE, AND CONCISE!"

, after working in the health field as a medical professional and obtaining a copy of the first edition of this very helpful guide, this book is outstanding in every aspect as a valuable reference to emergency situations, where no other help is available. Although I have collected hundreds of books that cover this topic, I felt this one is extremely useful for my daughter to have in her home. This handbook outlines several conditions for one to identify with as it offers step-by-step instructions, with solutions for unexpected health problems. This informative guide also prepares for any disaster, where help is not on the way. It is specifically designed for the non-medical professional to help deal and cope with unexpected issues during emergencies.

recommend this book more highly

especially after a major thunderstorm or a tropical storm/hurricane? We bought The Survival Medicine Handbook both on Kindle (for tips on what to stock up on and to educate ourselves) and the printed version for emergencies ,recommend this book more highly. It is really jam packed with extremely valuable information--both for the emergency and for preparing ourselves in the event of one. Every family should have one.

A treasure trove of information

I certainly haven't read this book cover to cover, but I keep it around and read page or two when the mood strikes me. That's how long a typical explanation for something takes. The few things I've read have been very clear and understandable, and reflect in-depth knowledge by the author(s). I contracted tick-borne Lyme Disease a couple years ago and was in ICU for two weeks, yet I learned more about the transmission of that disease from a page or two in this book than I knew from all my prior reading and talking with doctors. The book covers a remarkably broad spectrum of health issues that are both every day life (ie: tooth problems) and outdoor/survival related (ie: toxic plants).
