If you take it at face value, it's fine, however if you like your smut with some substance, then it does leave a lot to be desired.

Not much that can be done in such a short story, but maybe if the author had fleshed out their past acquaintance (which boils down to the heroine having seen him from afar decades ago & is still obsessed, for some very strange reason)... the whole insta-lust would've been a lot more palatable & would've made a whole lot more sense...

Also, she's both a widow & over 21, so she really only needed to say no! Her dad couldn't really do anything about it, except kick her out & she could've gone to stay at her uncle's...

In short, there were a million resolutions that wouldn't have seen her ostracised & they could've had ALL the sex in world... as it was, it became a really stupid premise & the whole her uncle & aunt were in the audience was icky as hell!

I loved this story of Grace and Sebastian. The amazing chemistry between the two leads was totally hot 😉The first of 3 in the Fallen series. Carmen Rose’s narration of this story is spot on. I look forward to reading the rest of the other two novels in the series.

What historical romance has dildos and same sex scenes. I mean in those days people were jailed for that. And she is a widow whose only experience is with an old man coupling in the dark fully dressed but suddenly she has all this experience. Quite ridiculous
