Summary

This action-packed, post-apocalyptic series is now available in a box set of over 1,500 pages!

When civilization collapses, only the strong will survive.

Josh and Maxine Standing’s marriage is circling the drain. But the fractured family of four has never needed each other more than when a supernova EMP strikes Earth and sends humanity back to the Stone Age.

The shrieks of a dying civilization echo all around as they combat the chaos to reach the West Virginian family farm. However, it’s not just a firefight for valuable resources that awaits them when long-festering secrets and betrayals come to light and threaten to permanently tear the Standings apart.

Black and white no longer exist in a post-apocalyptic world swirling with shades of gray, and the Standings must find a way to survive the dark matter hurricane and stitch their frayed family back together. Or face complete annihilation at the hands of a maniacal madman who will do anything - and destroy anyone - in his quest to dominate.

This thrilling post-apocalyptic box set includes all four novels in the Supernova EMP series:

Dark End
Deep End
Bitter End
Final End

Prepper survivalist author Grace Hamilton invites you to step into a post-apocalyptic, EMP-ravaged world filled with strong, resourceful characters, survivalist knowledge, and edge-of-your seat action.

narration awful, pls listen to the sample first

the story was ok, though so similar to do many other books out there.
the narration was awful, it drove me nuts, emphasis on the wrong words every time, it grates on your nerves a lot, I would advise listening to the sample before you buy. I will not be buying any audio books that are narrated by this guy ever again

A lot to get through

I enjoy box series such as this so I can just go from one book to the next. This series has a ton that happens! There is so much adventure and twists and turns in these books that I could hardly keep up at times. I enjoyed it overall.

Unbelievable scenarios

Main characters are not very likable, especially the woman and son. Out of millions who survive so do individuals with before event who have ill intent for Main characters who miraculously get into powerful positions to reek havoc and whose main goal is to seek and destroy the weak MCs. Skipped through most of this. Not worth the credit.

Fantastic Series!

Grace Hamilton is a unique storyteller with a vivid imagination. The manner in which she developed her characters and revealed the evolving plot made me feel the emotions of the characters and kept me on the edge of my seat. This fast-paced, action-packed story with its engaging characters, danger, suspense, betrayal, unexpected twists and realistic character interactions and dialogue made this a captivating post-apocalyptic survivalist series. This is the first time I have had the pleasure of listening to narrator Matt Weight. His performance was spot-on.

Well worth the listen!

This was a fantastic listen; it's well-composed and quite engaging. I very much welcomed Grace Hamilton's unique approach to the EMP genre and the premise. Power grids are destroyed, and people are severely impacted, behaving erratically and violently. The primary basis of the storyline is survival, following a group of survivors and their efforts to make it in a new and hostile post-EMP world. The storyline is thrilling, intense, and action-packed, wrapped in revenge, slavery, vicious antagonists, secrets, difficult decisions, and unexpected twists. The ending was great, questions are answered, and everything wrapped up perfectly. Considering the assortment of characters, I thought the character development was brilliant. The primary cast is well-rounded and relatable, and I was intrigued from the get-go. The interactions were natural, and the dialogue was a smooth flow. Additionally, the narration was spot-on. Matt Weight's performance was exceptional, portraying the characters, emotions, and suspense flawlessly. All in all, I really enjoyed the Supernova EMP box-set; it was definitely worth the listen, one I'll strongly recommend.

frustratingly unrealistic

how many times does an individual need to get harmed, or those he cares about killed or harmed before he finally starts taking threats seriously. you don't negotiate with people trying to kill you. it is so insanely unrealistic when so many of these books in a without rule of law situation have the characters over and over and over again let people trying to kill them go to do it again. in a WORL situation, you come to my gate threatening to harm me or my family and or to take our property, we will give you a 3x6x6 piece of property somewhere in the back 40. you're not going back to your people to report driver discussion, you are simply disappearing from the face of the Earth.

I loved her other books but this one...

I loved most of her other books. This one started off good until the supernova. Then things got really confusing. I tried really hard to get into the story but I just couldn't do it. It just didn't grab me. I gave it until chapter 9 and gave up.
I absolutely love EMP books, apocalypse type books. But this one just didn't have it. I couldn't understand how a supernova made people want to attack other people this was more of a zombie genre, then a EMP book.

Mats narration wasn't bad he had a good voice, I'm sure if I liked the book I would've liked his telling of the story better.

I voluntary asked to review this book and left this review

Not very believable

Unfortunately this whole story is not very believable and the decision making of the characters were very questionable and didn't make sense. For example the family's farm was seriously threatened by an armed mob who essentially wanted to takeover the farm for themselves. The family said they would rather die defending the farm, already had plans in place to do so, but the very next morning gave in to their demands without further provocation. Some of the characters seem to have superhuman powers where they can just walk into heavily armed premises alone, take down people, take what they wanted and walk out unscathed. The effect of the supernova caused people to have a variety of symptoms, all bad and some zombie-like. The cure for this was found to be quite simple, laughable and also included an eating plan! There are a lot of different characters circulating throughout the series but very few of them were likeable, and a number of them are subjected to very uncomfortable stereotyping.

I like 'survival' type books but this boxset was quite a task to get through. I only persisted to the end because I thought/hoped it would get better.

I was given a copy of this book for free of my own choosing and have voluntarily left this review.

Up-talking narrator was annoying...

Overall the story was good. The narrator was not unfortunately. Characters were interesting and memorable.
