Summary

In a world full of super powers, Felix had a pretty crappy one.

After learning to harness his ability to modify any item he owns, he now runs a corporation that is rapidly expanding - Legion. After tangling with the local Heroes guild they’ve finally settled into a semblance of stability.

Sounds great on paper. Run your company, make money, be your own boss, settle down. Except that with running a business, comes an inordinate amount of responsibilities. Like making sure everything keeps running and your people are paid.

Worrying about the longevity of his company, Felix begins to expand into other cities. So they’ve packed up the car, put in all the requisite forms, gotten the approvals, and set out to start Legion up in a new city.

The problem, though, is the local government had no idea who they were selling permits to. Approving forms for. To Felix and Legion.

And now they’re about to find out.

Disjointed

In my opinion changing the narrator for the second book hasn't worked at all, despite the ability of the new narrator having two different people read the same story changes it entirely because of their individual reading style. It just doesn't work whatsoever unfortunately and I got a refund.
Good book just a very poor decision made for who knows what reason. Personally I would of waited for Jeff Hays..

great Follow up to the first

This second book is a great follow up to the first one good development of the different characters and just and overall good story.
The previous Narrtor was unable to read this book because of other commitments. Although
the narratetor maybe diffrent Nick Podehl dose a great job like he always dose on making everyone unique and you can tell who is who.

I am looking foward to the next book in this series and I am thankful that it is Nick Podehl has signed on to read.

a very good sequel , it builds on the first book

there were a few things in the first book that I had issues with, the power Felix had was one of them but this book clears that up nicely especially if you have read some of the authors other works.

that aside this book is fun and is more of the first with a good bit of tension and a lot of paperwork , buy if it's the careful planning that you like in a main character this book has that down.

This better be leading somewhere

These books appear to be a trilogy and this appears to be the middle. Here's hoping the third one pays off for all the stuff setup in the first and second books, otherwise this is a total waste.

Very good book shame different narrator

Rollicking ride from beginning to end love the dark hero approach with him running his empire like corporation. How a James Bond villain should do it. With Felix in charge James Bond would be dead chapter 1.

what did I just listen to?

the story jumps around far too much. shame since the first one was very focussed. it's like the author had too many ideas and put them all into one book rather than spread them out and make each point a full story instead of 1 chapter each. it became very strange to follow at the end and, in my opinion, large parts of the story made no sense at all. dissapointing second book.

Disappointing

very disappointing when comming off the previous book. A demonstration in ruining your own setting.

Good, but not as good as the first

It’s a shame the narrator was changed for book 2, I am a fan of Nick Podehl and love his other books, however changing the narrator made the book feel different and somehow wrong.

The story, while enjoyable, wasn’t as good as the first book.

That being said I would still recommend & look forward to a third book, regardless of the choice of narrator.

Loved it, but...

How was the narrator?
The narrator was very good and I enjoyed every bit of the story. The problem here is that Jeff Hays is my favourite narrator and I've got dragged into buying the stories he narrated, finding out afterwards that most of them were masterpieces.

Same thing happened here. I've bought the first book straight after just one minute of sample, and I must say that even if the new narrator is VERY GOOD, it doesn't match with Jeff's voice where you can 'feel' the emotion within every word.

It's a pity that he didn't narrate the whole story. I'm pretty disappointed since this one is clearly a MUST READ EVEN IF THE WORLD ENDS TOMORROW.

I've must've exaggerated a bit, but you get the idea. 😂✌🏻
