Summary

An entrepreneur, writer, and professional blogger, Rachel Hollis has made a career out of helping women reach their fullest potential.

In Girl, Wash Your Face, she tackles many of the lies women are told and, more importantly, that they tell themselves.

Drawing from her own experiences, Hollis addresses each lie within the context of an anecdote. Each illustrates how negative self-talk and poor self-image can hold you back.

By realizing the truth, however, you can free yourself from self-destructive behavior and learn how to enjoy yourself, getting the most out of each day.

This review can help you learn more deeply and get more from the original book. It includes:

  • A short author biography
  • A chapter-by-chapter summary of the book
  • A summary of each strategy the author used to dispel a lie
  • And more!

(Disclaimer: This is NOT the original book. If you’re looking for the original book, it is available from Amazon and Audible.)

Fantastic Book!

I honestly believe this book can help every woman grow. Personally, it has helped me focus on the one person who is the LAST to get my attention and effort. Myself.

Great book.

In this was a phenomenal telling of how one woman was able to take life's struggles, learn from them, and mold them into great accomplishments. It was also a wonderful way for me to see great examples of how I could change things in my own life to make myself more successful and happier.

Great summary.

The one thing that resonated most for me was that, we as women need to be kind to ourselves, and one another. It is time that we start to work harder to show ourselves the care we would show another person in our lives without question.

Good job.

This book is witty and wise, filled with unvarnished “I’ve been there” experiences and great suggestions for moving forward. What’s incredibly engaging about this book is its stark honesty.

I found this guide

There are a few books that I listen to on audible and think “well, that was nice” but there are others that I will listen to again AND have to purchase the hard copy to highlight my favorite parts and revisit.

learning to it interestly

An ideal book for both beginners and experienced people. Because here it is well described the importance of each step, as well as what will be if treated lightly.
