Each chapter is an in-depth, but not too complex, summary of a major topic in the science of astrophysics from the beginning of the universe to the latest discoveries in dark matter and energy.

This summary can help you understand the book with:

  • A biography of the author
  • A chapter-by-chapter summary of the book
  • A quick summary of the author's cosmic perspective

Good.

This book is made out to be an "astrophysics for dummies" but it's far more difficult to grasp than I'd imagined. That being said, I'm still glad I listen it.

Absolutely amazing book!

Absolutely amazing book! I recommend that everyone listen this book. It is a very simple primer on astrophysics. It does not get into a lot of detail, insane math, Etc, and it's something that can easily be listen by a novice.

middle to high school equivalent information

overall the subject matter of this book with entertaining, but at a very low level of understanding. I personally do not feel that I learned anything beyond what I already knew from high school and middle school science. unless you're looking for an introduction I would suggest one of the more advanced books by Tyson.
