My favorite genre is dark romance so I was quite excited when I started listening to this. It had my attention during the whole story but Maxim was just brutal and all he wanted to do was inflict pain on Frankie. He was not at all likable to me. Frankie endured all the pain and suffering by choice and kept going back for more but the story wasn't erotic or sexy like most of the dark romance I listen to so I'm not sure if I would continue with this series or not. Zara Eden did an amazing job bringing this story to life. #AudiobooksUnleashedVIPReviewer

This was my first time listening to this narrator or reading anything from this author. They did not disappoint. Lana was able to bring so much depth and realness into the characters and Zara brought them to life with her voice. This is a dark romance as mentioned in the blurb, but it was much darker than anything I have ever read before. There is self-harm and consensual inflicted harm, and if blood and harshness is not your thing then this will not be the book for you. It was disturbing, yet I couldn’t turn it off and I was so invested and still liked the overall story. I have already downloaded the second book and will be starting it tonight while at work! So excited to see where the story will go. I received this audio book at my request and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A different flavour of dark romance
Dark and violent from the start which doesn't let up even to the final page.
The controlled brutality and embracing assent of the two main characters kept me on a roller coaster of mixed emotions, with only a spark of gentleness toward the end.
It was really well written and narrated.
looking forward to finding out how the characters relationship develops in the next book.

Dark and WOW
Loved the narration of Zara Eden just perfect for this book .
If you do not like dark romance then turn away , if you do well sit back and listen.
Maxim and Frankie's story is dark, intense, and brutal in parts . Maxim is ruthless, alpha, dominant, and a sadistic mafia billionaire. Frankie is , masochistic, strong, and determined.

brilliant story, very brutal.
I loved the back stories that came out in pieces during the novel. can't wait to listen to obey.
the narrator was good and the 'accent' for max worked but would have been nice to have had a male narrate his parts.
