München, U-Bahnhof Marienplatz, Feierabendverkehr. Ein Mann stürzt auf die Gleise und wird von der U-Bahn überrollt. Es handelt sich um den Schuldirektor des Pasinger Gymnasiums, Gerhard Bockler. Alles deutet zunächst auf einen Unfall oder auf Selbstmord hin. Zumindest ist auf den Videoaufnahmen vom Bahnsteig zur Tatzeit nichts Auffälliges zu erkennen. Als es innerhalb kurzer Zeit zu weiteren Todesfällen an U-Bahnhöfen kommt, beginnt Exkommissar Max Raintaler am Unfallhergang zu zweifeln. Er macht sich an die Ermittlungen.
