Summary

Tamsin and her best friend, Michelle, have been inseparable since they were teenagers. Even now they spend all their time together, along with Patrick, Michelle's handsome husband.

So when Tamsin hears a rumour that Patrick is having an affair, she is furious and plots a scheme to catch him in the act using her assistant, Bea, as live bait. It should be foolproof. After all, Tamsin can trust Bea with anything...or can she?

Not Janes best

I was a little disappointed with this one. I love Jane Fallon but felt this really dragged and wasn't really the best storyline. The ending left me frustrated.

Nice story but a bit long winded

Could have been condensed. Too much useless background info. Good story line though. I recommend.

Unlikeable characters in a difficult story

Tamsin is a whiny, unprofessional, manager who is need of some serious training. I need to put this out there first as the entire premise of this book revolves around something you should never ask an employee to do, and if you do ask then HR should be called in.

However, Tamsin does ask and Bea does comply and all hell breaks loose. I’ve no idea how Patrick managed to score Meesh, though he was a very well acted narcissist so she clearly fell for him love bombing her.

Adam essentially saved this entire book. He was a bit of light relief after so much Eastenders-esque melodrama when he was introduced to it. Though I can’t get over the fact that this entire story could have been resolved by people *having adult conversations*, which made the entire plot just too silly for me at points. I finished it and I’m still a fan of Ms Fallon’s work, though this definitely wasn’t one of my favourites :)

it's good!

There is one tiny thing that you think will be tiny.
But works out such a huge twist
and turn. I don't think anyone
will work it out before It happens.

Slow start but it gets better

I've loved all of Jane Fallon's books so far. This one was a bit of a slow starter but once all the 'ground work' was laid at the beginning, it got so much better. A few twists and turns and a good ending. On to the next!

unsure at the beginning

I must admit that I was unsure at the beginning. the main character was, I'm my opinion unlikeable and shallow... but the further I got into the book she grew on me...
During the second half of the book I struggled to put it down and it was interesting to follow the development of the main character.
All in all an enjoyable book with excellent narration.
