About this listen

A STUNNING NEW THRILLER FROM THE NO.1 BESTSELLER AND RICHARD & JUDY PICK AUTHOR.

'A brilliant, propulsive thriller' STEPHEN KING
'Jaw-dropping' THE SUNDAY TIMES

The most painful of Evie Cormac's memories have been locked away, ever since she was held prisoner as a child. No one knows why she was kidnapped, but forensic psychologist Cyrus Haven has been trying to give her something like a normal life since her rescue captured hearts and headlines.

Until one day, standing on a Lincolnshire beach, the tragic aftermath of a shipwreck unfolds in front of them. And Evie's nightmares come roaring back . . .

The mystery of what happened to her all those years ago is the key to this new tragedy - because these deaths were no accident. And now Cyrus and Evie must unravel the past, or risk drowning in the storm that's coming for them both . . .

If you enjoy Storm Child, don't miss Cyrus and Evie in Good Girl, Bad Girl, When She Was Good and Lying Beside You. And meet Phil McCarthy in When You Are Mine and Michael's brand-new thriller The White Crow.

'Razor-sharp and emotionally charged' LISA GARDNER

Michael Robotham continues to deliver. All his books are oustanding and this one is up there with the best. Superbly layered characters and plots. Superb narration as always.

Outstanding end to Evi’s story

Fabulous !!!! Enjoyed this book from start to finish. Had me hooked from the start. Great conclusion to Evie's past but truly hope we hear more from Cyrus, Evie & Florence. Please don't let this be the end of the series.

Terrific story & series

Quite the best series of books ever! Characterisation, storyline, with, pathos, humour, and tension. They have them all. And terrific narration. 5 stars are not enough!

Amazing conclusion!

Loved all his books but not this one unfortunately his political beliefs about "asylum seekers" so called conspiracy theorists and other topics infiltrated the Evie and cyruss storyline and made me disappointed in him as an author who just follows and believes the general narrative. The book is still brilliant and shocking emotionally charged

Too political to what Michael Robotham belives, which is obviously mainstream media!

Male narrator for female characters is very annoying but I love the Cyrus haven books and raced through this one

Great plot and story
