Summary
I felt the wind rustle, warning me, telling me to get out of its path - but I didn't. I never stood a chance.
A series of weather and road mishaps leave me trapped in the middle of a blizzard with a complete stranger. In the back of a pickup truck. For 48 freakin' hours.
A stranger with long hair, tattoos, and rippling with muscle. A stranger with an insanely sexy voice and a wicked smile that turns my insides to jelly. A stranger who holds me in his arms, calms me, and then sets a fire in me that I can't put out.
Some people chase storms for the beautiful thrill. What happens when the storm chases you?

Really good listen
Yes this book deserves 5 stars all the way, I really enjoyed the story Storm a lead guitarist in a very popular group and a girl who is quiet reserved not the norm they meet in a snow storm and the story develops from there .
You develop a strong bond for both characters quickly and CJ Bloom narrates with real feeling not all narrators do , but she does a great job , will definatly be purchasing more in the series as there are obvious characters that I will look forward to their stories .
I have no hesitation in recommended this read

mother nature knows best
First of all, CJ Bloom gives a fantastic narration of the book, her vocal performance of each and every character is excellent, she brings the book to life giving them all passion, emotion and depth as well as clear differentiation for both male and female characters.
A snow storm brings this unlikely couple together but its not without its difficulties. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and purchased the second before this one was even half way through, that's how highly I recommend it.

Fantastic!!!!!
What made the experience of listening to Storm the most enjoyable?
The female narrator spoke with expression and at a good speed. The story is gripping. You can't wait for the next chapter. It is sensual and interesting. You believe in the characters. I am really really enjoyoying this book. It is my first audio book. I love it so much that I will download another book in that series. Better to stay with same author.
What other book might you compare Storm to, and why?
Talon. Same series.
Which character – as performed by CJ Bloom – was your favourite?

Good
I loved the story , but detested the FMC, she was a winny, up tight and self righteous 😤😵
They meet under bad circumstances. He helps her, they become friends and eventually lovers. There is some mental health discussed here but it's not too dark not dramatic.
The tension and eventually spice was good.
Amazing narration.
In KU and free on audible plus catalogue too.

Good premise but not my favourite
I enjoyed the first half of this but the last part went on for too long.
The FMC was also just not a nice character, a wet blanket with her boyfriend but not afraid to call other women names and look down on them for no real reason.
Go ahead if you like a standard contemporary romance in the background but maybe think twice if well-rounded characters or a believable story matter to you.
The only real TW is cheating.

Enjoyable
This book isn’t as dark as the other Carian Cole books I’ve listened to or read. Told from a single perspective, it’s the story of Eve and Storm who meet when they end up crash landing together in a car during a snow storm. Their relationship grows from there. Storm is a hot rock star, Eve is anxious, naive and somewhat sheltered, and she already has a live in bf.
There is some cheating in this as Eve decides between Storm and bf, but tbh I wasn’t that concerned given groundwork is in place to suggest the bf is cheating.
Although this is enjoyable I think it could have been better. It almost feels like half a story in that there is much more story to be told - I note however here seems to be a second novel involving these two (loving Storm), so maybe what’s missing is in that. The bf disappears too quickly, “Jugsy” doesn’t cause nearly enough mayhem and other than hearing an awful lot about Eve’s insecurities there isn’t much angst. The whole story consists of Storm pushing and Eve dithering.
Given it’s in the plus catalogue it’s worth a listen.
